Content is exploding with millions of pieces being uploaded daily. It raises a question: What’s the endgame? Here's my perspective. I think that trends come & go. As Ranveer Allahbadia said, audiences' preferences change every 2-3 months. That's why he bets on different types of content and follows machine gun strategy. He said that "A/B testing has really worked for him when it comes to content". Moreover, when I look at the bigger picture. I realise that our attention spans are getting shorter & there's a lot of unnecessary content which adds no value to our lives. 90% of social media users are just mindlessly consuming content, which is in turn hurting their brain & mind. (I've been there too) There's a lot of science behind what I'm saying. It has been proven that people who are more active on social media experiences high chances of depression & anxiety as compared to people who use it less often. Moving forward, I predict that new platforms & technology will emerge. Meta has already launched it's Ray-Bans, I think it's going to change the world in the next decade. Social media will evolve & content will always be relevant. Different types of genres will co-exist together in the ecosystem & they will keep evolving as per the preferences of the audience.
