Regardless of one's perspective on relative artistic merits, the business model continues to undergo massive change and continuous transformation. Will be interesting to see if/where/when it "settles" for a season. "The industry is back to where it was 20 years ago, with streaming platforms relying on a glut of reality TV shows and safe programmes, bolstered by advertising, that no longer champion the creative freedom that them in the first place." #entertainmentindustry #tv #businesstransformation #transformation #askbetterquestions #betterworkingworld

Casting & Producing Non-Scripted TV Talent
7moAs a UK-based casting professional, I have encountered several challenges, including scouting new talent who have never appeared on TV and are not social media influencers. Social media has become such a significant part of our lives that many individuals, regardless of the size of their audience, are now influencers or personalities within their online communities. Another challenge is ensuring we cast and develop shows that genuinely champion diversity and underrepresented communities, without it seeming like a token effort for the sake of representation in the media.
