Are your line managers equipped to lead wellbeing conversations? Line managers play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of wellbeing. Yet, many lack the confidence and tools needed to navigate these crucial conversations. As businesses face a 55% increase in days lost to illness over the past four years, it’s clear we need a proactive approach. While training on practical management skills is essential, line managers also need robust, research-backed frameworks to support their teams’ mental and physical health. This isn’t just about addressing issues as they arise but about creating a preventative and supportive environment. Here’s how we can support line managers: 1. Develop training programs: Focus on both technical skills and emotional intelligence. 2. Create accessible resources: Provide tools and services they can refer on to. 3. Promote a positive culture: Encourage open discussions about wellbeing. By investing in the development of our line managers, we can enhance their ability to support their teams and foster a healthier workplace. With our free-to-use Conversation Canvas you can provide a framework for wellbeing conversations right now. Simply head to the link in my comments 👇 #JoyfulWorkplaces #EmployeeWellbeing #HR

Leading Gracefully Supporting Manager and Team Wellbeing: A Call for Authentic Commitment In today's fast-paced world, the wellbeing of managers and their teams is crucial for maintaining a healthy and productive workplace. It's heartening to see many care organisations recognising this and pledging their support. However, it's essential that these promises translate into tangible actions. Our team recently presented a comprehensive wellbeing support program designed to enhance managers' physical and emotional wellbeing and overall performance. The positive potential of this program is immense, and we are eager to see it come to fruition. However, despite initial enthusiasm, we often find ourselves in a state of limbo, awaiting final decisions. While we understand the complexities involved in making such commitments, authentic support requires timely and decisive action. We remain hopeful and ready to collaborate, confident that our program can provide the much-needed support managers and their teams deserve. Let's turn intentions into reality and create a workplace where wellbeing for managers and their teams is prioritised and actively nurtured. At Pastora Ltd we work to inspire, nurture and engage care professionals - leaders, managers and carers to understand and meet their needs so they can succeed in their demanding role. Hey #management- this is your sign to Boost Employee Wellbeing! Healthy staff are able to show up as their best selves for their vocations, the people they serve, and everyone they work with. But, let's be honest- being an adult is stressful! Employees have many responsibilities and obligations coming at them from all directions, inside and outside of work. Life is constantly life'ing, demands are always present, and family obligations are often endless, which can create stress in people's lives. When this stress accumulates, it can lead poor work performance, as cognitive functioning, decision-making, required attention and patience levels are all negatively affected. This, can then lead to errors, burnout and conflict in the workplace. I believe that there is a moral obligation to help ensure people's wellbeing at work. It is also very beneficial for the company, school or organization, with positive effects on work performance, relationships, and staff engagement. Nurture Employee Wellbeing is a one-time, 1-2 hour long workshop designed for employees, where they can destress and replenish their energy. During their session, teachings on wellbeing, biophysical responses to stress, and pragmatic stress-release will be simultaneously taught and practiced. Employees will locate current stress in their life, and in their body, and release it. An added bonus- they will leave with tools that they can use on a daily basis, to continue nurturing their #wellbeing. Invest in your staff's wellbeing by setting up a Nurture Employee Wellbeing workshop for them today! To set up a session for a group employees, staff development time, or leadership retreat message me so that we can coordinate one specific to your organization's needs. #employeewellbeing #staffdevelopment #training #latinamentalhealthweek #professionaldevelopment #stressrelease #mentalhealth #journaling #dei #mentalhealthawareness #employeeretention

This evening listening to a fascinating podcast featuring Prof Jan-Emmanuel De Neve peaked my interest in the Wellbeing research centre and the work they undertake. The Work Wellbeing Playbook highlights 12 crucial drivers of workplace wellbeing. As someone who is passionate about wellbeing, I am constantly reminded of the significance of employee wellbeing within my primary role; supporting personnel who are signed off work long-term sick. Reflecting on this research, I am left questioning the impact of meeting all 12 drivers in my organisation. The research has prompted me to evaluate the importance of each driver and identify any areas where my organisation may be falling short. Are we providing the necessary support but encountering challenges in employee uptake? This reinforces my belief that investing in wellbeing is essential for all employers in an attempt to optimise employee performance and retention. Tonight I have been left pondering if my organisation has made sufficient investments in wellbeing. As a Mental Wellbeing Coach, I also question if I am doing enough to support both my organisation and my clients? Can I push for more robust implementation of these drivers at my level? It has certainly left me with some thought provoking questions to ponder. If you are invested in workplace wellbeing you can read the playbook here: https://lnkd.in/eRVwjCV8 #Wellbeing #EmployeeWellness #WorkplaceWellbeing #InvestingInWellbeing #MentalWellbeingCoach #StriveForChange
