Higher education is “global Britain's gem, and more can and should be done to let it shine” This is just one of the lines from our recent State of the State report which inspired our team to write a feature on education. Education is one of the biggest levers we can draw on as a society – it drives equality through student engagement, delivers impactful world-class research, attracts global talent and makes a fundamental contribution to cities and regions across the UK and beyond. However, the post-secondary sector continues to face challenges. So we interviewed a series of senior education leaders to examine these big questions whilst identifying the conditions needed to see the sector thrive.
