Have you ever wondered what the oil and gas industry used before the pig was invented? Follow R.B. Williamson Energy Advisors to learn more about the oil and gas industry.

Celebrating our roots doesn’t mean being stuck in the past. We’re forward thinkers, but it’s still fun to reflect on the early days of pipeline integrity. Like with this old “Go-Devil” pig, on display during our Flag Day open house at Tulsa Operations. Crudely made of metal and leather, and nothing more, the Go-Devil was originally called "Pipe Line Cleaner." It was invented by John S. Klein for the National Transit Pump and Machine Co. and patented in 1885. The industry has come a long way since then. If you’re interested in learning which pigs and pigging program are right for your pipeline, reach out to one of the R.B.
