Maybe an unpopular opinion but you can be qualified & experienced and STILL be rubbish…. 🗑️ 🫢 I’ve had first hand experience working alongside HIGHLY qualified & knowledgable healthcare professionals who never improved their bedside manner which left the patients experience poor… I’ve also learnt SO much from a women in business who doesn’t have the “qualifications” yet her confidence, enthusiasm and carisma in how she delivers education makes me want to learn from her FAR more than the most experienced & qualified out there!!! If you are being taunted by your inner narrative telling you, you’re not good enough to use your knowledge, skills & wisdom Or you have risen to success in your business & career yet constantly question if you are really the woman for the job… Then you might need to hear that… You qualifications & experience is only 20% of what makes you good at what you do! The other 80% is about who YOU are. The things that can’t be taught. And I already know that you ARE incredible at what you! Because if my content has found you that means you are: 💥 Highly ambitious 💥 You value doing your best 💥 You hold high standards And THIS alongside every little thing that makes YOU unique is what is going to make you EXCEL at what you do!!! By gaining clarity on EXACTLY what you bring to the table You are going to re-write this inner narrative about all the reasons you ARE good enough Which is going to create so much more fulfilment, joy & freedom to fail in your life… Not to mention you’ll start performing BETTER without the doubt that’s wasting your time with procrastinating or perfecting tasks 🚀💥 Life without your worth tied to the success of your business or career is available to you after 3 months of working 1:1 together!! Get in touch before the end of March to secure your opportunity before the prices raise in April! 🎉 And follow me Emma Elder for more confidence boosting content that will help you sky rocket in your career & business 🚀💃🏻

My #FreeGameFriday advice this week is to recognize that others might have their own ideas for what you should be focusing on in your career without accounting for what you may see your own career trajectory being. There is a certain amount of strategy that is required to ascend to the heights you want in your career, but there are also people who feel it's their job to make you second guess yourself while you do it, even if for no apparent reason. Don't let anyone, even mentors or those in positions of authority over you, put you in the box they see you fitting in. Be resolute in your abilities, know what you bring to the table no matter who tries to minimize it, & don't let intentional gaslighting make you start to question yourself . Workplaces are just a microcosms of societies, our family units, and whatever socialization we've been subject to, and people bring their outside stuff into them and act accordingly. Don't let other people's issues get the better of you.

My marketing is driven by my heart. That is I choose to work with people whom I want to help the most. I always did my best to work this way, yet during the last two years financial insecurity and advice from some marketing specialists urged me to look into offering products that would bring more income. Yet this can't be my driving force. Believe me, I tried. I am now bold to offer services to those who inspire me most - self-employed. I want to help those who have just started their self-employed journey or are planning to do this soon. I want you to have a less bumpy and more enjoyable road to professional and financial security. It exists. I can show it to you on the map. Honestly, my boldness comes from God. Our family was blessed with financial security this summer. For the first time in 10 years of being self-employed I can disregard my monthly financial targets and stop worrying about how much I need to earn to cover my needs and wants. I have never experienced this freedom from worrying before. It gives different taste to both work and life. I see that God will shine brightly through these weaknesses of mine (I am a worrier most of the time). I will inspire more people to be bold and choose to be self-employed - if this is the path they want to go professionally. I will focus on offering more programs for self-employed in 2024-2025. At thr same time my coaching programs helping careerist women in their 40s to find love, upgrade/change their career and build confidence and self-esteem remain available. I love them dearly. I will do my best to update my profile description in the months to come so that you had a clearer idea of ALL my offers. Thank you for reading me, loveyou #selfemployed #safeemployed #careercoach

A young lady from one of the #online communities reached out to me and told me that for the last three years, she has been feeling stuck. She went further to say that after taking a critical look at her life over the last three years, she thinks it's not just a feeling but that she is indeed stuck. She mentioned she is stuck career-wise, network-wise, and financially. I had an intense discussion with her, and among the many things we spoke about, the activities I challenged her to do stood out. She came back a few weeks ago and said that of all the things we discussed and she acted upon, something in particular changed everything for her. What is that, you may be asking. Well, I challenged her to get a pen and a journal and do the following: - Write everything you think you know and are currently doing as far as your career, networking, and #financial life is concerned. - Write the things you think you don't know. Feel free to do #research about this. - Identify one thing to take action on weekly. No matter how small, take one concrete action weekly on what you need to know and acquire the knowledge/skill. Remember the popular saying the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and in most cases, that step is gaining awareness. It's astonishing how many of us float through life without truly assessing where we stand. - Dr. Joybert Javnyuy Why is this powerful? Because when you see your life mapped out in ink, patterns emerge. Transitioning from a long-term career to launching a business based on your passion and purpose can be daunting. It can also be thrilling and exciting. There are many reasons why women don’t make the leap, even when they have a strong desire to. Here are 7 of the top mistakes I often see and hear that stop women from doing the thing that’s calling them into their Next Chapter: 1. SEEKING PERMISSION It’s important to get support or at least have an understanding of expectations with those whose lives will be impacted. However, you do not need permission. 2. RELUCTANT TO LEARN FROM PEOPLE YOUNGER THAN THEM Know where your strengths lie and get help in other areas from those who are best able to guide you. If that person is 17, it’s their lucky day to learn from you also! 3. THINKING THEY’RE TOO OLD TO START A NEW CAREER If you’ve got life, you’ve got time. Do it now! 4. LEAVING OUT THEIR PAST EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE Nothing you’ve learned or done is wasted. Your unique life lessons and expertise are what set you apart from everyone else. Bring all of you into your business. 5. THINKING THEY’RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH If you think you’re not good enough, you’re not. If you think you’re great, you are. Choose what you think. 6. THINKING THEY HAVE TO KNOW MORE BEFORE STARTING What you have and what you know is enough to get started. Drop the illusion of perfection, it’s an ego trip. People need you, not perfection. Why? Because they’re not perfect either! 7. THINKING THE MARKET IS SATURATED AND NOISY The market isn’t saturated with you. There’s only one you. What’s noise to one person is music to another. Play your tune. When you do, you’re drowning out the noise. Which one of these resonate with you? Are there any more you’d like added to the list? Let me know and I’ll unpack it in another post. There’s too much to say in this post, on another mistake - Reluctance To Be Visible. It needs a whole post and masterclass on its own🤔 Happy Wednesday🌹

Professional multi-millionaires and billionaires don't make noise, but you can't connect with them without skills, knowledge, and experience. You'll even be considered an economic risk with no added value to offer them. If you have the opportunity to sit in a hall where the likes of Tony Elumelu, Dr. Richard Okoye, and others will speak, and you're asked to connect with them later, what will you say to them? 'Hi, I'm Gabriella, I'm a student, and I sew?' Really, would they even listen to you? To advance, I'll share what I would do: - Be committed to enhancing a professional offline and online presence and reputation by building a strong profile that showcases your skills, experience, and achievements. - Look for a problem around their niche and offer solutions to it. - Volunteer in their organizations. - Learn packaging. In all you do, go all the way out to become a Professional. Get that certificate Brand and package that product. Register that company. That's the only way people will see, value, and take you seriously. These are the few things that can keep you relevant and close to being in their circle. ©Dike Chidera #financialliteracy #selfdevelopment

“You are not doing another qualification, what you need is confidence,” is what her partner said… and why she came to me. She wanted so badly to get ahead, but Chloe’s lack of self-belief held her back. She’d hit a ceiling in her career. To her, the answer was another qualification—then I’ll be good enough for the next level. But I knew she was already more than good enough. And I’ve seen it time and again—doing more qualifications DOESN’T WORK. You become overqualified for your level and risk not even being considered for roles. I should know, I’ve done it myself! A degree, two master’s, and countless professional certifications—all because I thought that’s what I was lacking. But really, what I was lacking was confidence. What I had in abundance was fear. What I needed was to back myself. And that’s what happened for Chloe. She heard me on a BBC radio show, just after that convo with her partner. We started working together that week, and the rest, as they say, is history. Chloe learned how to value herself, her experience, and her skills. With me as her coach, and an incredible team of women behind her, she began to see herself as an asset. She learned how to approach her career strategically, back herself, and go after what she’d been dreaming about for years. A funny thing happens in my programmes when things click—it’s like an overnight shift. Women start talking more positively. They look brighter, younger, and energised. They start looking after themselves more, and career results snowball. Partners and family also notice and I get their thank yous. What I know is that working with me will give you a better return on investment than another qualification. We tap into your existing strengths, passions, and power. We build self-belief so you can fully back yourself. We develop a mindset to manage fear, stress, and self-sabotage. We activate past learning and layer it up with powerful new strategies. We support you to go for it, and we help you celebrate your successes. That’s why women describe working with me as life-changing. And why I live in the heads of clients 9 years later (Generation Women just turned 9!). Why women still come back to say, “Thank you—I wouldn’t be where I am today without the work we did.” And if you needed any more reasons why another qualification isn’t the answer. Most of my clients are time poor. I will help you get results within 6 months - and without the assignments and exams! And having my programme on your CV shows you’ve invested wisely - in your career, your wellbeing, and yourself! And want to know something funny about this picture (apart from that it was taken before we could delete and retake a terrible picture 😂) …I can’t even remember which degree I was graduating from!!
