When Life Gives You a Broken Van... Call Your Mates! Yesterday, disaster struck: one of our vans decided it fancied an early holiday and broke down. Normally, the quick fix would be hiring a van, but where’s the fun in that when you’ve got a whole division of legends ready to help? I sent out an SOS to James and Andy, asking if we had a spare van floating around. Like true heroes, they both came back almost instantly (I think James was even faster, but don’t tell Andy!). Since Andy’s van was closer and conveniently not racked out, I grabbed it this morning. Bonus: we now get to give the Aftercare brand a little tour around our clients for a while! It’s moments like these that remind you why working in a division like Motus Vehicle Solutions is such a win. No waiting, no faffing about—just good old-fashioned teamwork and a bit of quick thinking. I'm excited to share my latest article (linked below) where I delve into a new chapter of pushing my boundaries in 2024. Inspired by my upcoming 50th birthday and in memory of my mother's recent passing, I set a goal to embrace challenges that scare me a bit. This time, it involved learning to drive a Rough Terrain Vehicle (RTV) or "Kubota" under my dad's guidance. The initial lesson was challenging, yet I emerged successful and ready for more. 🚜 Buoyed by this success, I ventured out the next day with two friends for an off-road adventure. What started as a fun ride turned into a nerve-racking experience when the Kubota stalled on a steep hill and began sliding backward towards a pond. Thanks to quick thinking and teamwork, we managed to engage the emergency brake just in time. Despite the scare, I took the driver's seat again once the RTV was operational, a testament to facing fears and pushing through them.
