I've been remiss this year in sharing one of my favorite resources- the The Greater Good Science Center's monthly calendar. For those of you in the US, the theme will not surprise you (focused on gratitude and seeing the good in the world) as it ties in with Thanksgiving. No matter the day, the month, the season, the year - it is ALWAYS the right time to practice gratitude. Sharing in case the daily themes spark something in you (or those around you) to experiment with a bit of gratitude. If you are seeking insight, practical suggestions, or more on how to build your gratitude muscles - please check the center out. #FeelingGrateful #GratitudeIsASuperPower #ThePlagerGroup #GreaterGoodScienceCenter

Monday Mission: Gratitude in Action Happy Thanksgiving week, Diversiology community! 🦃 Thanksgiving offers a moment to pause, reflect, and express gratitude. It’s not just about the food (though hello, seconds!), but about the connections, lessons, and opportunities that inspire us to show up authentically every day. As we celebrate this season of gratitude, here are 5 things we’re especially thankful for at Diversiology: 1️⃣ Our incredible community of DEI practitioners, allies, and advocates—your courage and dedication create ripples of change. 2️⃣ The conversations that challenge norms and push us toward equity and belonging for everyone. 3️⃣ Opportunities to learn and grow, even through setbacks, as we strive for a more inclusive future. 4️⃣ The unwavering belief in our mission—it keeps us energized and ready to tackle what’s next. 5️⃣ YOU—your engagement, insights, and commitment to this work mean the world. Gratitude fuels action. It reminds us of the progress we’ve made and the work we still have to do, together. 💛 ✨ What’s one thing you’re grateful for this week? Dealing with the Virus of Envy As we step into September, a month often associated with new beginnings and the realization of long-held hopes, it's crucial to be mindful of the silent, often overlooked, "virus" of envy. Envy isn’t always about wanting to be the best; it’s often about wanting to feel like you’re the only one excelling. It’s that inner voice that struggles to celebrate others’ wins and diminishes their success. Envy thrives in comparison, especially in today’s hyper-connected world where achievements are constantly on display. But as we know, comparison is the thief of joy. True leadership and personal growth come from celebrating the success of others, trusting that what is meant for you will arrive in its own time. The Apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 10:12 not to fall into the trap of comparing ourselves with others, warning us that it is unwise to measure ourselves by the standards of others. In doing so, we often lose sight of our own unique journey and purpose. Similarly, Proverbs teaches us, "A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones" (Proverbs 14:30). Envy corrodes not just our perspective but also our capacity to thrive in our own lane. In the professional and personal spaces we navigate, it's easy to let comparison and envy cloud our vision. However, the antidote lies in gratitude and trust—gratitude for our journey and trust in the process unfolding before us. When we choose to genuinely celebrate the victories of others, we position ourselves for even greater fulfillment. Let September be a month where we uproot envy and make space for abundance. Let us trust that the timing for our own breakthroughs is perfect, and by celebrating others, we contribute to a culture of collective success. When we shift from competition to collaboration, we all win. #LeadershipDevelopment #Gratitude #TrustTheProcess #PersonalGrowth #CelebrateOthers #CollectiveSuccess #OvercomingComparison #MentalWellbeing

Every Friday at TENFOLD®, we kick off the day with a virtual team stand-up and thoughtful prompt from Rachel Friedman. Today's topic? Gratitude. 🙏 A few notes that stood out: 🌟 Practicing gratitude anchors us in the present, releasing stress from the past and quieting future worries. 🌼 Gratitude is a natural energy boost, flooding our brain with feel-good chemicals like dopamine and serotonin. 💪 Gratitude is a secret superpower — it strengthens resilience, helping us navigate challenges with a sense of calm and strength. 💛 And perhaps the most rewarding? Gratitude deepens relationships. Feeling appreciated fosters connection and security. After reflecting on these truths, we each took a moment to share who we’re grateful for this week. From individual shoutouts to team-wide appreciation, the warm fuzzies were flowing. It was a powerful reminder of how gratitude can truly transform us. So, let's keep a good thing going. What are you grateful for? 💭✨
