Dear LinkedIn, (Coughs) Happy New Year! Whew… (Clears cobwebs) It’s been a minute , okay way more than a minute since I posted anything here. I am a full time student and full time undercover project manager/coordinator ). So a quick recap on what I’ve been up to; — 2nd place price in the Black history month literary competition(. Exploring my creativity) - Logistics duties of the LSE Africa Summit 2024. - 3rd runner up for the Programme for African Leadership (PfAL) pitch competition. My team’s idea is a social enterprise idea focusing on Internally displaced persons in camps ( focusing on the social determinants of health and welbeing) - Cordinated the end of year event (relaxation) for the PfAL 13 Cohort. I have learnt a lot these few weeks; about my relationship with time management,productivity and self care. And plan to be more consistent on here. As a friend said: what’s the point in doing great things, if your potential clients can’t make reference to it? Here’s to making myself more visible. See you again soon and Happy new month!

This month recognizes the diverse cultures, traditions, and histories of the AANHPI community, highlighting their significant impact on the nation's development and progress. It is a time to reflect on the unique challenges faced by AANHPI individuals and to celebrate their resilience, creativity, and accomplishments across various fields. This year's theme is Advancing Leaders Through Innovation, paying "homage to the visionaries and trailblazers who have shaped our AANHPI history and continue to influence our collective future... AANHPI leaders have made lasting contributions to our nation’s economic prosperity, technological advancements, and social/political change through their ingenuity and creativity while navigating significant cultural and systemic barriers." –Federal Asian Pacific American Council

"We need to harness the power of our collective voice" was yesterday's clear call to action at the Asia-Pacific Local Leaders Summit + Indonesia Localization Conference. Some of the highlights include: ✨ The Indonesia Localization Lab was officially launched! In a country that experiences about 3,000 disasters each year, these community leaders are building a powerful movement on a legacy of mutual cooperation. 🌍 Jemilah Mahmood reminded us of the humanitarian sector's extensive carbon footprint, and that locally-led responses are good for the people and the planet. ❗ Keep it simple - the International response system tends to over-complicate. Local people already have knowledge of the land and their communities where they've lived for thousands of years. 📊 Across the world, local communities have their own resources and an ethos of mutual support -- they're the first and last responders. We need to improve how to quantify those resources and communicate effectively with funders. A new chapter of Indonesian leadership begins, returning to the principle of mutual cooperation (gotong royong).

In Malaysia. Look left and right; everyone is doubting Rocket, and now the members themselves are doubting the organization's leadership. In my opinion, Loke has done a reasonable job of maintaining the DAP's strength and integrity. Many DAP supporters want the party to make a strong impression after two years in government. This presents Loke and LGE with their greatest challenge. Should DAP exert excessive pressure, PN would find it effortless to assert that this government is under Cina control. In 2020, they utilized this story to topple the PH government. On the other hand, DAP voters will label them as MCA 2.0 if they don't promote nons' political interests. Example, the Mufti Bill is really worrying the nons' community. Another big worry is PMX moving far right to keep the fundamentalists happy. Between a rock and a hard place. What can Loke/Rocket do?
