AMEE 2024: Empowering Medical Education with Scope A few weeks ago, we attended AMEE - The International Association for Health Professions Education 2024 in Basel, where we connected with educators passionate about advancing medical education. Speaking to many educators really reaffirmed our commitment to making a real impact with our platform Scope! Key Takeaways: 1️⃣ High Demand for Interactive Learning: Over 80% of educators were eager to incorporate real-life case studies into their teaching. Students are actively seeking tools like Scope to bridge the gap between theory and practice. 2️⃣ The Power of Visual Learning: Educators emphasized the importance of visual content. Scope’s video-driven case studies are meeting this need, making learning more engaging and practical. 3️⃣ Supporting Student Autonomy: While progress monitoring is important, we focused on preserving the joy of learning. Scope empowers students to take charge of their education with the right support from professors. 4️⃣ Strengthening Clinical Reasoning: Real-life scenarios in Scope are sharpening decision-making skills, essential for clinical practice. AMEE 2024 may be over, but we’re excited to continue the conversations. Let’s explore how Scope can support your teaching and empower your students. If we connected at the conference, let’s stay in touch and keep the momentum going. Don't miss this article from Medical Affairs Professional Society (MAPS), featuring insights from Vindico's own Katie Robinson, PhD, CHCP, Vice President, Instructional Design and Analytics, and Mike LoPresti, Senior Vice President of Educational Strategy. In this article, Katie and Mike discuss the growing value of data in Continuing Medical Education and how Vindico utilizes this data. Find it here: https://lnkd.in/dKAmQZfp
In recent years, Continuing Medical Education (CME) providers have seen their role expand to that of an educator who also offers valuable information for future programming and other strategic business decisions. As such, they have become experts in gathering quantitative and qualitative data to give supporters actionable insights. “Whereas CME providers used to just deliver education and show outcomes from it, there recently has been so much emphasis in CME on impact, and even that is now shifting to insights,” says Katie Robinson, PhD, CHCP, Vice President, Instructional Design and Analytics, Vindico Medical Education. “The current demand, and where we can provide the greatest benefit for our supporters, is in showing meaningful insights as to what their learners need and want.” Read the full article by Mark Garcia, Vice President of Client Service, Array: https://lnkd.in/dKAmQZfp #medicalaffairs #cme #continuingmedicaleducation #externaleducation

Are we preparing future doctors for clinical excellence, or just helping them pass exams? 🤔 As we prepare to head to Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) LSL 2024 in Atlanta, I’m excited to engage in this critical conversation about reshaping medical education. We've all been there—stuck in traditional instructional methods that focus on knowledge retention, but is that enough? Are our future doctors truly prepared for the challenges of real-world practice, or are we just arming them to pass the next test? At OnlineMedEd, we believe in transforming the way we teach, not just to help students pass their boards but to excel as clinicians. 💡 It’s time to challenge the status quo. Let's rethink how we approach educational technology and tools. How can we ensure our resources build competent, confident doctors ready for the realities of patient care? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Let’s connect, share ideas, and make an impact at #AAMC2024. Whether you're an educator or a clinician, your insights could help us shape the future of medical education together. 🔥 Cody Bennett, Maggie Hadinger, Doug Hughes, Adam Rooke, Karson Kovakovich, PhD

The system and the way it works is actually a far more powerful teacher than anything a professor will tell you." Marcus Grimm and I sat down with Dr. Arora to explore the role of Health System Science (HSS) in medical training. Learn how integrating HSS into the curriculum is more than teaching— it’s about preparing future healthcare leaders to navigate and improve complex systems. We cover: -Challenges in bringing HSS into medical education -How experiential learning and simulations boost student readiness -The critical importance of interprofessional communication and patient safety -The future role of AI in medical education This episode is a must-listen for anyone passionate about advancing medical education. 👉 Join us and be part of the conversation shaping the future of healthcare education!
