“National Road Safety Week is an annual initiative from the Safer Australian Roads & Highways Group, partnering road safety organisations & Government. The week highlights the impact of road trauma & ways to reduce it.” As an organisation who has a deep passion for safety, this was an important week for us to bring attention to & talk about; Because the more we ALL talk about safety, the more real it is 👏. According to QLD Government ‘StreetSmarts’, around 250 Queenslanders lives are lost each year, & around 6,800 are seriously injured - a poignant reminder of the real dangers of driving. What is StreetSmarts? "An education platform where you can learn more about road safety & help make a difference. No matter how good we think we are at using the roads, we can always get better at it." https://bit.ly/2MOzhq5 We encourage & reinforce safe driving through our Driving & 4WD training - discover available dates online, & make a change for the better 🚙 https://bit.ly/3UPwsaZ #Harness #NRSW #DriveSoS #StreetSmarts

Road safety is SO important. So how do you create clarity when making a video about a new road crossing? We used a regular 4K video camera, a drone and a 360degree camera to make a video with Warwickshire County Council - showing different perspectives. Did you know that the Highway Code has changed to give greater priority to those most at risk, such as pedestrians and cyclists. To this end, we featured a new crossing in Leamington where cars must stop to let both pedestrians and cyclists cross. Here's the video we made to explain...
How to use Warwickshire County Council's new priority crossing

Drive Safely: Our Kids Depend on It! Now that the school season has arrived, it's more important than ever to prioritize road safety. Whether you're in a rush or just going about your day, remember that children are more vulnerable during this time. From school zones to bus stops, our roads are filled with young pedestrians who rely on us to keep them safe. Putting away your phone, obeying speed limits, and being extra cautious around flashing lights and stop-arms are all crucial steps. Watch for children walking or biking, especially in areas without sidewalks. Backing out of driveways or leaving garages requires extra attention as well. Our children’s safety is in our hands. Let’s drive responsibly and keep our roads safe! #SafetyFirst #BackToSchool#DriveSafe #SchoolZoneSafety #ChildSafety #RoadSafety

The fire is located in the front of the bus and in this case the front door is usable and thechildren were able to exit. What would happen if the front door is not accessible? Currently, children have to jump off the rear edge of the bus which is 38-40” high. This is inefficient and unsafe for 21st century safety. Children will jump and trample over each other in the event of a real life fire. The fire is not the issue but the black billowing toxic smoke. If this bus was full of students they must be exited in 1:16 or be suffocated by the smoke. I am seeking help to get a emergency egress ramp on all new buses. Proactive safety is always better than reactive safety.
