⚡ 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 In Germany, the importance of HEMS will be supported by the introduction of smart meters. While smart meters are common across much of Europe, Germany has fallen behind. By 2022, only 1% of German households had a smart meter. 🇪🇺 In contrast, Denmark, Italy, Spain, and Sweden had over 99% adoption. Despite this, Germany leads in HEMS adoption overall. To address the gap, the German government plans a major smart meter roll-out. 🏠 Starting in 2025, the target is to cover 95% of households and small businesses consuming up to 100,000 kWh by 2030. This widespread adoption will be a game-changer for HEMS. Smart meters record real-time energy use, enabling flexible tariffs and providing the data HEMS needs to optimize energy use. 🤝 That’s why we want to contribute by investing in promising businesses in the HEMS space.
