"I always recall having an interest in architecturally pleasing buildings. Engineering interest came later in high school." 🎤What has been your most proud moment as an architect/engineer? "A small project in Loveland, an elderly gentleman was very concerned about cracks in his foundation. I designed the fix and explained it to him." 🎤Do you remember your first day of college? What was it like? "Hectic, nervous, and fearful of getting lost. The amount of people was alarming, but I made it." 🎤What is one thing you enjoy doing outside of work? "Watching hockey, and spending time with my family." 🎤What is the greatest potential for architecture and/or engineering to shape a neighborhood community? "To provide an environment that is inviting, memorable and comfortable."

Shout out to York Flashings for a well thought out product! Go check them out! This will be a great opportunity for those in the Philadelphia and New York area to learn more about this product. Midwest has had the opportunity to work with this product on various projects! The compatibility with just about ANY product without primers makes this a go to in building enclosure design and construction for most projects. The only condition we have found to require a primer is with transitions to below grade rubberized asphalt. Not because it will not "stick" (initially), but because rubberized asphalt and butyl rubbers are not compatible so you do not want to use these two rubber products in direct contact due to long term compatibility issues. The results are not pretty, don't try it! FYI - No butyl rubber is compatible with rubberized asphalt! However, with a good epoxy primer, you can transition to rubberized asphalt without any issues. Just apply an epoxy primer to the cured rubberized asphalt membrane and you are good to bond the butyl to it. The epoxy encapsulates the asphalt, and creates a barrier between the asphalt and the butyl. This product can even allow you to transition from the roof systems to other building components. Oh, and it can withstand high temps too. Making this stainless steel facer self-adhered flashing and transition membrane a "Jack of all Trades" or a solutions for all trades, for most flashings and transitions functions.
