EMRB CEO Karen Wichuk spoke today at BILD Edmonton Metro’s Attracting People & Jobs to the Edmonton Metropolitan Region luncheon. During her remarks, she referenced Benchmarking the Edmonton Metro Region: Insights for Global Competitiveness, prepared by Resonance Consultancy. As the Edmonton Metro Region prepares for unprecedented growth, the report's insights will empower regional leaders to plan for the future. Comparing our Region to 15 others in Canada, the U.S., and internationally, the report measures the factors most highly correlated with business formation, talent attraction, and creating welcoming and vibrant communities through three lenses: #Livability, #Lovability, and #Prosperity. Many of the 15 comparators are aspirational, pushing us to think about what it means to be a Region of another million people. It identifies our strengths, areas where we are truly world-class, so we know what we need to zealously protect. It also highlights opportunities for growth and improvement. This critical planning tool will help government and community leaders build a globally competitive region that stands out in its own right. I'm happy to see that the government contract between LAUFT and the Government of Canada is now official. It has been a long journey and road ahead to finally make this contract official. I look forward to seeing Government of Canada Employees take advantage of specific flexible workspace locations designed by LAUFT and would like to see other levels of government in Canada, U.S. and beyond replicate the specific flexible workspaces designed for government workers of all levels of government working out of customized LAUFT locations for government workers to create, collaborate and work. We're officially approved! 🚀 The Government of Canada has given the green light for our first flexible workspace designed specifically for public servants. This is a huge milestone for us, and we couldn't be more thrilled. Our focus now is on getting the permit package ready for submission this Friday and prepping everything for our first project in Québec. This workspace marks a key step in helping the federal government reduce its property footprint while modernizing work environments for hybrid collaboration. With 11 zones identified across the National Capital Region, we’re excited to be bringing our vision of a distributed, flexible office infrastructure to life. https://lnkd.in/gKqqvNPU #makesmartwork #lauft #governmentofcanada #governmentcontract #customized #flexibleworkspace #locations #ottawa #nationalcapitalregion #governmentemployees #employees #remotework #hybridwork #returntooffice #rto #workfromhome #wfh #workfromanywhere #wfa #create #collaborate #work

Even though this post is from 1 year ago, it is still worthwhile to share. When LAUFT was awarded the Government of Canada Contract in September of 2022 to provide on-demand flexible workspace solutions to Government of Canada Employees in Ottawa and surrounding areas of Ottawa, this contract was a game-changer for LAUFT. As LAUFT is working on the logistics of setting up on-demand flexible workspace locations in Ottawa for GOC Employees to work out of, I would like to find other levels of government in Canada and the U.S. that can take advantage of having LAUFT provide on-demand flexible workspace solutions for municipal, provincial/state and federal government employees in the same way the GOC is using LAUFT as GOC Employees have hybrid work schedules working from government offices a few days a week and for the remaining days they are not working from their office, they will work at a LAUFT on-demand flexible workspace location. LAUFT is expanding beyond the GTA. Sooner than later, LAUFT will be providing branded workspaces for the Government of Canada through the most seamless and flexible work experience available today. Read the full press release here https://bit.ly/3UpkQIc, and follow our journey as we take an exciting step towards growing our network of workspaces around the globe. https://lnkd.in/gKqqvNPU #Remotework #Remoteworker #RemoteWorkLife #FutureOfWork #WorkFromHome #WorkFromAnywhere #CoWorkingSpace #GameChanger #GovernmentofCanada #Contract #HybridWork #WorkSpaceSolutions #WorkSpace #FlexibleWorkSpace #Ottawa #CapitalRegion #USMarket #Municipal #Provincial #State #Federal #Global #Toronto #GTA #Expansion #WinWin #WinWinSolutions #PublicSector #WorkLifeFreedom #Company #Flexibility #Productivity #MakeSmartWork
