The Psychology Behind a Memorable Crypto Domain Name (Part 2) Welcome back to our exploration of what makes a crypto domain name unforgettable. In Part 1, we discussed the importance of grabbing attention and creating cognitive ease. Now, let’s dive into the finer details of choosing a domain name that stands the test of time. Beyond Memorability: Additional Considerations While memorability is essential, also consider: Future-Proofing: Choose a name that can adapt as your project evolves in the ever-changing crypto space. Avoid overly trendy names that may quickly become outdated. SEO Optimization: Integrating relevant keywords can improve visibility, but remember that in web3, creativity and uniqueness are often just as important as SEO. Domain Extensions: Different extensions (e.g., .eth, .crypto) can add value. Some are limited, potentially increasing in worth over time as they grow scarce. Brainstorming Tips and Creative Strategies If you’re ready to dive into naming, here are some tips: Play with Puns and Wordplay: Clever names like CryptoKitty and DeFiLand offer a fun twist that keeps them top-of-mind. Draw from Your Brand Identity: Infuse personality—consider how your name aligns with your project's values and mission. Engage Your Community: In web3, community matters. Hosting a naming contest or asking for input can yield unexpected and brilliant results. Future of Web3 Domains Looking ahead, web3 domains will play an even larger role in decentralizing the web. They’ll be more than just a name—they’ll be integral to online identity, ownership, and interaction. Imagine an internet where users truly own their data and domains, contributing to a fairer, user-powered network. Conclusion A memorable crypto domain name is an asset that strengthens your brand, communicates your purpose, and builds trust. From DeFi to NFTs, a great name can attract attention and make your mark in the web3 space. Want to dig deeper into building a standout crypto domain? Good afternoon and good evening, I would like to sell my set of Blockchain themed dot com's. You will notice that they all end in TM. Today you need to be creative to get a good dot com domain name, so why not just add a creative, the TM emoji. Well it turns out that the internet address for the TM emoji are the letters tm. That means that the creative will resolve in a dot com domain name, via a browser bar. See Function https://lnkd.in/g6ju-qu7 See all 10+ Versions https://lnkd.in/grNTpnWQ A TM creative looks great on merch and in branding, and an emoji that works in dot com is an innovative solution to getting access to those in demand keywords. It is a new idea which means that I am able offer top words such as Ethereum, Satoshi, Cryptocurrencies, Cryptocurrency, Exchange, and Altcoins also. Alot of keyword dot coms are extremely valuable. A single keyword can appeal to a broader market than alternatives that use descriptors ie cryptocurrencyexchange com This idea means that you can get the code for the TM emoji creative with a desirable keyword dot com, and you can get the set of corresponding words. Domain name sales are not always reported, this makes sales figures highly sought after information. In general there are 2 types, those with a business and those without. Those without make up the majority of domain sales, however I would assume that the higher the value of the domain name, the more likely that it will be used within a reasonable time.period. Cars com 873mil 2015 (with site) CarInsurance com 49.7mil 2010 (name only) Infrequently Traded Assets https://lnkd.in/gpBUit7k It seems that good dot com names are getting harder to acquire and are now considered as "infrequently traded assets like realestate and antiques," post COVID we saw small to medium business owners scrambling for alternative sales funnels given the departure from traditional brick and mortar models. It is common knowledge Tesla aim to achieve this in the very near future. To get access to top keyword dot coms is near to impossible, this idea allows better access to keywords. Web3 developers would benefit greatly with high quality dot coms, as Web2 facilitates Web3. See Sunrise Period Start - End Date https://lnkd.in/gMe7mMQU For a brand manager it poses the question, do I need to register my brand name + the letters tm dot with my website extension? Perhaps yes I strongly believe the emoji tech is interesting, and it maybe be a great idea. The Psychology Behind a Memorable Crypto Domain Name (Part 1) As crypto adoption accelerates, your online identity in this ecosystem matters more than ever. But why do some crypto domain names stick with us, while others fade? The answer lies in psychology. A well-crafted domain name does more than simply identify you in the web3 space; it becomes a memorable and valuable asset, especially in a landscape dominated by decentralized tech and blockchain innovation. What Exactly Are Crypto Domain Names? Crypto domains represent an innovative ownership model. Unlike traditional domains that require annual renewals and are governed by central authorities, crypto domains are owned through a single NFT, providing ownership without recurring fees and independence from third-party censorship. Built on decentralized technology, these domains give users control and permanent ownership of their digital identity. The Rise and Power of Crypto Domains With blockchain tech expanding, crypto domains open doors for entirely decentralized websites, simplify transactions, and enable robust digital identities. Imagine your domain doubling as a wallet address, payment method, or even a verifiable identity. Already, crypto domains have transformed how we interact online, and they’re just getting started. Why We Remember Certain Domain Names The psychology behind a catchy domain name taps into principles of attention and recall. Here’s what makes some domains stand out: Attention-Grabbing: In the crypto world, where everything is fast-paced, first impressions matter. Names that use rhythm, unique sounds, or clever references create an immediate impact. Take CryptoKitties or Bored Ape Yacht Club—both tap into humor and imagery, making them hard to forget. Cognitive Ease: Simple and short names are easier to remember and share. The best crypto domain names use terms relevant to the industry, creating a connection that resonates with users. Think of short, catchy names that can evoke positive emotions or convey what your project is about at a glance. Aligning Your Domain with Your Audience Whether your project focuses on DeFi, NFTs, or a DAO, understanding your audience helps tailor your domain to them. Crypto Experts: Names that reference protocols, memes, or popular terms can appeal to seasoned users. Broader Appeal: For those new to crypto, friendly, approachable names like Binance, OpenSea, or Coinbase create a sense of familiarity and trust. Balancing Relevancy and Creativity for Startups If you’re a new player, relevancy matters, but don’t get trapped by keywords alone. Some of the world’s top brands—like Google, Amazon, or Apple—have names that are far from descriptive. In web3, a unique, memorable name often holds more power than an overly literal one. Aim for a name that can grow with your project and reflects your brand’s essence Check out our full blog at https://lnkd.in/ghuKhZb7

Hello, new friends, colleagues, and prospective customers! Web1 = Read-only internet. You rent central server space and host your own content. Web2 = Participatory internet. You rent central server space using your personal data as currency, host your content, and other users engage. Wevb3 = Ownership internet. All information is constantly notarized on a community spreadsheet. Every information change is a transaction. Every transaction in the same millisecond on the same document is notarized and maintained by a peer-to-peer community of impartial witnesses. The layered transaction is called a "block." The impartial, permanent record is the "chain." Document = Blockchain, like Ethereum. Page = Smart Contract, like "Shared Storefront," the one that defines LMOs initial property onchain. FUNCTION = Value Transfer Protocol, aka encrypted currency. Community value is divided by units of supply to produce a price-per-unit. Cell = Non-Fungible Token, which is a fixed point with measurable distance, impartially-witnessed, forming title to whatever the creator puts in the cell. I declared my intellectual properties as collaborative puzzles, sectioning off portions for my team and for the customer. The customer can buy puzzle pieces to develop in the intellectual property. This does not form a secure-deposit-of-value relationship, aka a "security," as the purchase premise is self-engaged development of the property purchased. The Entity, aka the Business, is not the Brand, which is an Intellectual Property. The Entity uses the Brand; the Brand is a malleable asset, where the Entity is strictly governed. We're getting a lot of attention because our collaborative brand Let Me Out Productions saved onchain collaborations from being defined by 4chan monkeys using a "not SS totenkopf" logo. That brand puzzle offers unique pieces of the "Let Me Out Productions" IP to develop for the customer. The 4chan monkey released for $200, and ballooned to $1.5m in three months. It is not a financial instrument because it is not intended to be. It is a collaborative brand, organized with puzzle pieces, same as Let Me Out Productions. They offer open-license use of their mark of trade; we offer development services, experiences, and shared marks of trade. Our pieces should release for well above what we list, but we want them to be accessible to the grassroots consumer, not an exclusive property for a major league studio. Our release method features a 99.99%-35% discount spectrum while listing only 200 pieces at a time. This mitigates the potential for secondary explosions, taking our products away from our desired customer core, because the speculating customer is always competing with the next 200 discounted pieces. This is proven behavioral science, as we did not attract the speculating customer despite our pole position on the market. We did attract a lot of loud and public antitrust violations, one of which is disablement of our collaborative brand.
