Male patient presented with bilateral long-segment SFA disease. This patient has previously undergone multiple peripheral vascular procedures, including atherectomy and stenting, but none provided lasting results. Additionally, this patient is the primary caregiver for their wife and was not a candidate for open bypass. Congratulations to Dr. Hammad Amer on his first PTAB case with the DETOUR System. PTAB with the DETOUR System achieves open bypass efficacy through a minimally invasive approach, providing a transformative option for patients with complex PAD. The patient was released in less than 24 hours, with no DVT and no groin complications with distal Doppler pulses. Patients with severe claudication and CLI typically present extensive femoropopliteal occlusive disease. Although the use of new techniques and modern instruments makes it possible to treat an increasing number of patients with endovascular techniques, critical issues remain in the treatment of this specific vascular segment. Koen Deloose, Anahita Dua and Marta Lobato talked about the currently available methods to treat obstructive femoropopliteal lesions. #clicourses #CLTI #criticallimbischemia #vascular #endovascular

These before-and-after images illustrate a patient's struggle with arterial blockage in the legs. Initially, smaller arteries tried to compensate for the blockage, but blood circulation remained restricted. This is a condition known as Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), that occurs when leg arteries are obstructed by plaque build-up, severely impairing blood flow. Following PAD treatment at Milford Vascular Institute, the blocked artery was completely opened, restoring healthy blood circulation. The "After" image demonstrates full and healthy blood flow through the artery. If PAD is not diagnosed and treated promptly, it can lead to serious complications, including limb loss due to disrupted blood circulation. Timely intervention is crucial to prevent these severe outcomes. Thousands of patients have experienced restored blood flow and a significantly improved quality of life after undergoing PAD treatment at Milford Vascular Institute. If you or a loved one are experiencing symptoms of PAD, don't wait. Contact Milford Vascular Institute today to schedule a consultation and take the first step toward healthier legs and a better life.
