WiRE and INWES - The International Network of Women Engineers & Scientists facilitated the Energize Equity Roundtable at COP28 UAE on December 11th. This event is part of an initiative to raise awareness of gender issues and create inclusive workplaces by empowering individuals and organizations. The event keynote message was delivered by Ms. Gauri Singh, Deputy Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), addressing gender discussions on energy, livelihood, access to finance, and negotiation at COP28. Ms. Singh also touched on the global role women play in reducing the impacts of climate change and invited attendees to use their voice at any opportunity, to speak their mind, and to be part of the solution.
