EECA (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority)’s Post

One of the ways we are mobilising New Zealanders to be world leaders in clean and clever energy use is with our new Gen Less ‘Switch on efficiency’ initiative. We have launched a home energy savings calculator to help Kiwi make informed energy choices. Check out the calculator and see what your household could save ➡️ https://lnkd.in/g4njPYH6

What a creative campaign with a positive message. And who doesn't love seeing a miniture model home? Well done EECA (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) and Gen Less.

That bike that gets shunted aside is at least 100 times more efficient than the electric car, with tons of other benefits for users, society, and the environment than slightly cleaner emissions and cheaper running costs of #deathMachines. Electric cars are not going to save us. How are you still failing to consistently encourage people to avoid and shift mobility habits before pushing more (slightly improved) #carDependency??? Grr. I know you have some campaigns somewhere about bikes and biking. Great; but you need it everywhere - before the car porn. So disappointing Gen Less 😞 😫 https://www.notion.so/alexmdyer/Electric-cars-711e042dcfc34c4388ff6f4a9fe95c26
