It's frustrating and confusing for them. But why does this happen, and what can coaches do to fix it and grow their businesses? Let's find out. Coaching business has changed. A lot. (Read this if you want to quit) I spent a lot of money on courses and mentorships but nothing worked. I was just not able to close clients. If you're the same, here's 1 simple way to grow. → Focus on the volume. 1. Post authority content every day → bigger growth 2. Post on every platform → let people find you everywhere 3. Engage with 20+ people →  be seen everywhere 4. Write insanely good comments →  be funny 5. DM other coaches → network is really important 6. Host FREE video live Q&As → especially with other coaches 7. Reach out to your audience → take a first step for them 8. Make pitches few times per week → show them what you offer 9. Focus on 1 specific ideal client → create your niche 10. Give for free  → you get what you give I know you hear work smart not hard, but you can't work smart because you DON'T know what smart work is. You will know when you pass $10M/year mark. But also... Hard work beats smart work when smart work doesn't work hard. Put some time in the list above that I give you and do as much volume as possible. In 6 months you'll be glad you spent time on it. The best part of my job is getting to remind my business owner clients of their own amazingness. To a person they have created a successful business from the ground up. From nothing to SOMETHING. The client I just talked to this morning made 300% MORE this year, and now is making more than she ever did in a classroom... and the year isn't over yet. Part of coaching is giving people context. It's grounding what they're doing today in the bigger picture of success - over and over and over again. In any given moment we don't ever feel like we're doing 'enough'. Maybe we're not working hard 'enough'. Maybe we're not spending 'enough' time. There's a million versions. But you know what? That's a ONE DAY perspective. That's a TODAY thing. And one step out? 2 steps out? 3? You're doing MORE than enough. We all are. My clients are ALL doing MORE than enough to grow businesses that make BIG differences out in the world. They teach. This part usually brings up some juicy bits such as 'I'm not good enough', 'what will people think', what if I fail...what if i look silly.... and once you overcome these minor obstacles you start moving forward into a life that once upon a time you only dreamed of. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀 - 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗺𝘀!! Recently, I was approached by someone named "James Morgan" (who I suspect is using a fake name) seeking coaching services. His initial request seemed straightforward: he wanted to book coaching sessions for his daughters as a surprise gift. He asked if I could provide in-person coaching and mentioned that he would arrange for a car driver to bring his daughters to and from the sessions. Here are snippets of how the conversation unfolded: 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻: "Hello, I would like to inquire if coaching services are available? I would like to gift my daughters a package for career coaching." 𝗠𝗲: "Hi James, thank you for reaching out. I’d be happy to connect with you and your daughters to learn more about your coaching needs. Let's set up a strategy call to discuss further." 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻: "I’m booking this as a surprise package for my daughters. Can you provide in-person coaching? I’ll arrange a car driver to bring them to the sessions." There were a few emails back and forth to discuss some details and try to understand more. It seemed like an odd request but, as a coach who wants to help, I thought it was a great initiative for a father to gift them the gift of coaching—yes, I can be a bit naive. At some point, I asked about his budget and the conversation started to be odd: 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻: "I have a budget of $8000. I can pay you $2,500 as a deposit to secure your services. Then I'll pay the remaining but you'll need to do me a little favor to pay the driver because he will only accept payment in cash." The red flags were evident and his story shifted, and details started to be inconsistent, raising my suspicions. I recognized these signs early and blocked his email address so that I would stop receiving his emails. I am sharing this because if you encounter similar requests, make sure you take your time to verify the details and trust your instincts. The emails I've shared here are just snippets of the conversations we had back and forth, and I can tell you that they use ways that could get you to believe their story. I am still a bit in shock, to be honest. Stay safe and informed, everyone 🙏

The thing about starting to market a coaching business is that you have to have the courage to do something different, and be brave enough to show the world what you're doing. And it's really scary. When we have been one shape our whole career, and now we're presenting ourselves in a different (coach) shape, we worry about the judgement of others. We worry about a perceived loss of status. For example: 😱 We were c-suite professionals and all of a sudden we're telling the world we're JUST a coach. 😱 We're PCC, or MCC and now we're presenting ourselves as 'needing' coaching clients. 😱 We worry about the judgement of others in those situations. Here's the thing. Other people are busy thinking about themselves. They are not judging us. One of our coaches agonised for ages about her first post on LinkedIn and when she (finally!!) posted, she was surprised that nothing happened. Not nothing bad, nothing at all. 🤯 All the time and energy she'd put into worrying about the bad things that would happen if she stepped up in a tiny way and said 'this is who I am now' was time she could have spent more positively. 🤯 All the overthinking that came with the fear of being visible was an unnecessary use of those brain calories. 🤯 She had not taken into consideration the fact that a post on LinkedIn is seen by a TINY minority of those we are connected to. Not the entire world, or even our entire network. Just a tiny proportion of our network. One of the things that working with The Coaching Revolution is particularly good for, is hanging out with highly intelligent and motivated coaches who have done the overthinking and agonising, so you don't have to.
