We had the pleasure of attending several exciting UC Berkeley events recently! Chris Nicas, PE, Lydia Kelley, PE, Vlad Zasmolin, PE, and Derek Schikora represented ENGEO at a Geosystems Happy Hour. Lydia, Vlad, and Chris also attended the UC Berkeley Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) Fall Career Fair. Uri Eliahu, GE, Taylor Strack, GE, Kevin McFadden, PE, Valerie Davis, and Catherine (Cat) McGuire visited the Geosystems MS class and faculty. Kevin and Taylor gave a technical presentation on “Landslide Stabilization and Seismic Analysis Methods and Design.” Valerie Davis also shared resume and interview tips at the UC Berkeley Resume Workshop. Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with UC Berkeley and supporting future engineering leaders. #ENGEO #UCBerkeley #Geosystems #CareerFair #EngineeringOpportunities #FutureEngineers #GeotechnicalEngineering

College day for me, but what a great day it has been! Today, we had careers fair at MidKent College where I had great conversations with Siemens Energy, Genco Construction Services Limited , CC Cousins, Trinity Claims, Golding Homes, St. Modwen Homes and more! My conversations went from new #housebuilds, #electricalplants at National Grid, #quantitysurveying, #hvac, #surveying, #iosh and #nebosh to #retrofitting. I can’t wait to dive into #surveying and even told one company that I am a RICS student member already. Nick Inge I saw your Itrust logo and mentioned you today. I watched a bit of the process whilst the work for installation of the #groundsourceheatpumps took place on our college campus. I even spoke about taking the #retrofit coordinator course that the college will offer. Then in college we are preparing for our next assignment so I did work on Hooke’s Law (elasticity of materials) and researched how to achieve #fireprotection in a #commercialbuild. I have an exam on fire protection soon. Not to mention, I finally managed to get the car cleaned. A productive day I’ve had I should say! 😊😁 Besides the lovely weather, what more could I have asked for? 👷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ #constructionindustry #builtenvironment #residentialconstruction #engineering #surveying #insfrastructure #projectmanagement #womenintoconstruction #construction #civilengineering

How many of you knew from an early age that you would be working in the industry/position you currently hold? I had no idea the industries I’ve worked in even existed as a young person. I’m looking forward to speaking with the students at Lone Star College-CyFair Lone Star College during the OGV Group Recruitment Fair 2024 about my career journey. While you are there, please stop by the 3D at Depth booth to find out about our cutting-edge technology and upcoming job opportunities. As I’ve spoken with many groups at various grade levels, I’ve discovered that the vocations available in the offshore energy industry can be a bit esoteric for many young people. While many of us struggle to keep up with staffing needs, especially when trying to recruit qualified personnel, it becomes extremely important that we, as an industry, participate in events such as this to continue our outreach and educate students on the various possibilities after graduation. It’s inspiring to see our offshore energy industry showing up at this event to start the conversation with our future leaders. See you tomorrow! 📍Lone Star College - CyFair, Houston, Texas 🗓️ 23rd May 2024 Register for the Recruitment Fair NOW: https://lnkd.in/dTTBnx_b #Recruitment #OGVgroup #Houston #Texas #USAenergy #Energy #EnergyIndustry #Jobs #lidar #3datdepth #futureleaders #outreach #thoughtleadership
