Within the Knowledge-based Pavement Engineering (KPE) program, TNO, TU Delft, and Rijkswaterstaat are joining forces to develop knowledge, applications, and a data structure that will allow us to assess the quality of new asphalt products and processes—both now and in the future. Asphalt is being laid at increasingly lower temperatures, but what does that mean for ageing? And what happens to asphalt with 40-50-60% reclaimed material when it’s milled and reused again? How do we organize and structure lab and field data so we can eventually predict the lifespan of (new) products? We’re exploring these questions and more in KPE. With a new program starting in January, two new PhD positions opened at TU Delft. Interested in contributing but more application-oriented than research-focused? Come by for a coffee at TNO!
Our group at TU Delft is now hiring for two new PhD positions in the field of pavement engineering. If you are passionate about sustainability, innovation, and the future of infrastructure, these could be the perfect opportunities for you! 📌 PhD Position: Assessment Methods for Perpetual Recycling of Asphalt Concrete 👉 https://lnkd.in/eXykq4uK 📌 PhD Position: Characterization of Innovative Pavement Materials 👉 https://lnkd.in/eHa9BwBa Join us in advancing the future of road materials and paving the way towards more sustainable infrastructure!
