What about the other games not involving Eng? Previous incarnations of the Proleague pretty much every game was on BT/TNT sport (love it or loath it)

36 years ago 😳 I sat on the edge of my bed at 5.30 am and watched Imran Sherwani score a goal to win an Olympic gold medal for England and Great Britain Hockey 4 of my friends went to school the next day and asked if we could play hockey in PE. Our teacher suggested we join a club locally and the rest is history… All because it was in free to air TV! Bravo England and Great Britain Hockey

This is a fantastic bit of news from England Hockey. After years in the shadows on BT sport (or even worse not shown at all) behind pay walls, it's about time that Hockey managed to get it's way onto actual TV screens. This is no doubt get the sport into the eyes of thousands more people across the UK and will undoubtably inspire the next generation to get involved. Bravo 👏

Great news - I know how important it is for sports to be accessible to help build a fan base and encourage future players. My hope is that more governing bodies will take a longer term view by forfeiting the immediate financial gains and generate a life long interest in their sport. It would certainly help teachers when explaining skills and rules to be able to sign post live sport on free to air tv.

I’d like to think that Reebe Media and SHConlineTV played their part in making hockey accessible to a wider audience just a mere 16 years ago.

This is a fantastic opportunity for hockey to grow the game. Well done to all involved.

Great news for the growth of the sport. This will add far more value for sponsors and provide organic reach which Watch.Hockey could never achieve. Great work by all involved!
