We recently took a delightful group of Norwegian wine lovers to Wiston Estate for a tour and tasting their very delicious wine. Wiston has come a long way in a very short amount of time and truly created a fantastic hospitality and wine tourism center built around the winery. If my memory recalls, we took some guests to Wiston in 2016 or 2017 to visit, before the tasting room was completed at the winery. We had a client who brought his own winemaker from Napa and wanted to learn about English wine and meet some of our winemakers. On this occasion, we met Dermot (and his dogs), in not much more than a cold, low lit steel barn, while he was disgorging and dosaging some Wiston wine.
