In Lean Manufacturing, it refers to any activity or process that directly contributes to: ✔️ Meeting the customer's needs ✔️ Enhances the product or service they are paying for ✔️ Do it right the first time; errors and rework do not add value. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲? 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀: Lead Time refers to the time it takes to complete a process from initiation to conclusion. In supply chain terms, lead time is the duration from when an entity processes an order or prepares a product until it is delivered to the customer.
