India Poised to Become a Green Hydrogen Hub: The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has unveiled the guidelines for establishing Green Hydrogen Hubs under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. These hubs are set to revolutionize the way we produce and utilize hydrogen, a vital component in our journey towards a sustainable future. Key Highlights: 🔸 Each hub is mandated to have a minimum capacity of 100,000 MTPA, aiming for higher production capabilities. 🔸 The mission targets the establishment of at least two such hubs by FY26. 🔸 A substantial budgetary outlay of Rs 200 crore has been allocated for the scheme till FY26. 🔸 Financial assistance of up to Rs 100 crore each is earmarked for the core infrastructure of the two hubs. 🔸 The scheme encompasses support for core infrastructure development, including storage and transportation facilities, pipeline infrastructure, refuelling stations, and advanced hydrogen compression and liquefaction technologies. #GreenHydrogen #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #NationalMission #CleanEnergyFuture #SEPA

India is poised to lead the global green energy demand. With abundant solar power and significant investments in our power grid, we have a natural advantage in green hydrogen production. The government aims to produce 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030. This push is backed by policies that aim to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and create new job opportunities. Over the past decade, our solar capacity has increased 32-fold, and with one of the world’s largest power grids, we're well-equipped to handle renewable energy demands. With anticipated investments exceeding ₹30 lakh crore and $27 billion in global backing, India’s future in green hydrogen looks promising. Our skilled engineering workforce will further facilitate this transition, setting India up as a key player in the global green hydrogen market. It’s inspiring to see our nation leading the way. #greenenergy

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued scheme guidelines for funding of testing facilities, infrastructure, and institutional support for development of Standards and Regulatory framework under the National Green Hydrogen Mission for implementation during the period 2024-26 at a total cost of Rupees 200 crore. The said Scheme has the following objectives: 🔶 To identify the gaps in the existing testing facilities for components, technologies and processes being used in the value chain of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives. 🔶 To create new testing facilities/infrastructure to test, validate and certify technologies, and processes in the value chain of Green Hydrogen & its derivatives. 🔶 To upgrade existing testing facilities available with different testing agencies. 🔶 To ensure safe and secure operations of equipment/instruments used in the Green Hydrogen Value Chain. 🔶 To encourage participation from private as well as government entities for establishment of world class testing facilities in India. The Scheme is crucial from the perspective of establishing India as global green hydrogen hub in its commitment towards renewable energy and decarbonisation. A robust infrastructure for testing these emerging technologies is essential for effectively developing and commercializing green hydrogen technologies. The participation of the private sector under this mission would help in accelerating innovation and investment across the entire value chain. #greenhydrogen #RE #MNRE #netzero
