https://lnkd.in/g3r2kmgm Scientists at Max Planck Institute have developed a method based on MINIFLUX nanoscopy, an optical visualization technique similar to light or fluorescence microscope but at nanometer to angstrom optical resolution. By tagging biological macromolecules with different photo activable fluorescent markers the team was able to optically determine the spatial coordinates of 2 distinct points within a macromolecule and measure the distance between them down to 1nm resolution. This method has been developed as an alternative to FRET method for measuring intramolecular distances. #MINIFLUXnanoscopy #FRET #intramoleculardistances
