Danone: 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗸𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦 The Alpro and Activia brands owner is a long-time shareholder in Lifeway, currently holding a 23.4% stake in the business, but it has now made an official bid to take full control The $25 per share offer is a significant 59% premium to $15.74, Lifeway’s average price during the last three months. However, Lifeway’s stock closed Monday at $21.50 a share, giving it a market capitalisation of $318m At $25 a share, it is estimated Danone will have to pay around $283m to buy the business outright Lifeway reported record annual sales of $160m in 2023, an increase of 13% year-on-year Its Q2, 2024, results, issued last month, revealed net sales grew 25.3% year-on-year to $49.2m. It's always interesting to see a switch in company mindset on what #marketingleadership is really all about. This time it's Chobani Australia, which is switching out GMs of demand (marketing, sales and category) & innovation (rapid growth, product and category busting innovation) in favour of returning to a more 'traditional' GM of #marketing, head of sales + more existing product-led #innovation approach under new MD Scott Hadley.
