Has your architect become a commodity? How do you measure the value of design? Architecture and design we all know are important, but are very difficult to determine whether the service we receive will be worth the money we pay for it, especially at the start of the project. It is also easy to think that we will get the same service from any of the 5 architects we solicited proposals from, so we should select the least expensive to keep costs down. But what if you selected the firm that cared so much about whether your project succeeded they validated your business case study and your proforma? What if they gave you great information, statistics, and arguments for the prospectus that gave you access to investors and lenders to finance your project? What if they pressured the contractor to ensure the project was built as close to the expected budget as possible? Are these services worth more? Of course, but sadly since architects have been treated as a commodity for so long creative and beneficial services like these are not offered or delivered and most projects are over budget and delivered WAY beyond schedule. Together we can put the value back into design and delivery. #Architecture #DesignValue #RealEstateDevelopment #ProjectSuccess #InvestInQuality #DesignMatters #ArchitecturalServices #ProjectManagement #BudgetControl #ConstructionSuccess #BusinessCase #ProjectFinance #InvestorRelations #BuildingBetter #DesignInnovation

As architects, we often streamline our proposals to save time, but speed doesn’t always equal success. It’s a balancing act—spending countless hours on detailed proposals only to lose the bid can be frustrating. Here’s a strategy to make your proposals both efficient and effective: 1. Create a Solid Framework: Start with a well-structured template to save time. 2. Personalise the Details: High up in your proposal, include a section tailored to the client's brief. Speak their language and show you understand their unique needs. 3. Stand Out from the Competition: Clearly articulate how your approach is different from others. Highlight your unique skills and expertise, and how these will benefit the client’s project. 4. Balance Efficiency and Personalization: Use a template for general information, but make sure the critical parts are customized for each client. By following these steps, your proposals will not only be faster to create but also more compelling to potential clients. Let’s make your next proposal a winning one! #ArchitectTips #ClientConversion #TailoredProposals #ArchitectureMarketing #ClientSatisfaction

Architects—can we talk about early budgets? Setting realistic budgets at the start of a project is one of the biggest pain points I hear about. It’s simple, affordable (starting at £130), and designed specifically to help architects like you set clear, client-ready budgets quickly—no big commitment, no stress. Architects: Don’t focus solely on the financial ROI of your projects. Clients want a more comprehensive understanding of value 👇 This explains why it’s crucial to communicate the full spectrum of ROI. Struggling to differentiate and diversify ROI can lead to missed opportunities. Here are three steps to help you get started: - Highlight the financial returns of your designs. - Emphasize the emotional benefits clients will experience. - Showcase the social impact of your projects. This way, clients are able to get a holistic view of your value from multiple perspectives.

These 3 questions win architects more clients. (But there's a catch) These questions aren't for your client. They're for you, the architect. Answer these three questions before going to your final meeting to win a client: 01 // What’s the client’s priority? 02 // What objections do you anticipate? 03 // What’s the greatest threat to winning this project? --- Want more growth hacks? Architects need business savvy in today's market. Here's why... The stereotype persists; the brilliant architect, lost in a world of design and creativity, oblivious to the harsh realities of running a business. In today's competitive landscape, relying solely on artistic talent is simply not enough. Architects who want to thrive need a healthy blend of design prowess and business acumen. https://lnkd.in/gG-iKm8y #business #market #businessofdesign #businessofarchitecture #success

How do you define value? If you as an owner have a project that is budgeted say for $5M. You hire a GC and Architect, who agree that the total project outcomes can be delivered for $5M. Do you care how the GC and architect spend the money, as long as your outcomes are achieved for the $5M?
