Did you know that September is Hunger Action Month? Our Executive Coordinator, Joelle Watley, spent last Thursday evening volunteering Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva IL packing food to be distributed to our neighbors in need. In just a short couple of hours Joelle, and a few other volunteers, repacked 714 lbs of hot cocoa from bulk boxes into smaller bags which will be included in this year’s Holiday Meal Box program. “I’m grateful to work for a company that offers the flexibility to leave the office early to support a cause that means a lot to me. I used to work at the Food Bank – it was tough to leave because I was truly dedicated to the mission, and it was great to be there on Thursday to volunteer.
