So we decided to do something about it.⁠ ⁠ IRIS AVIATION⁠ ⁠ 45ml Gin⁠ 20ml Lemon Juice⁠ 5ml Orris Root Syrup⁠ 5ml Creme d'Violette⁠ 10ml Maraschino Liqueur⁠ 1 small slice of Red Chilli (de-seeded)⁠ ⁠ Add all ingredients to a shaker and shake hard, double strain into a chilled glass and garnish with something from the garden.⁠ ⁠ Orris Root is used in gin distillation to pull flavours together and add texture, which it happily replicates for us here. The violet and spice of the root add depth to the existing flavour of the aviation, while the chilli just bumps everything up a little.
