I was asked yesterday, ‘Who’s your target market?’ Now it’s easy to fall in to the trap of reeling off a list of carriers, brokers, mutuals, insurtechs in the US or UK. To see them more as an impersonal list of insurance businesses, categorized by sales revenue, headcount or location. Or rather just refer to them as prospects or clients. But they’re people with likes and dislikes, goals and dreams, obstacles and opportunities. Human beings with hiring challenges that they’re looking to solve. The pressure is on them to fill strategic leadership roles. Roles that left unfilled, can have a knock-on effect on hundreds of other people in the business. And the insurance leaders we supply for those positions. So much more than candidates with an SVP of Claims or a COO job title.
