Need A Fiber Optic Course Onsite? Invite an FOA School To Come To You FOA often gets inquiries from an organization that has personnel that needs training in fiber optics. Recent inquiries have included contractors, a manufacturer of high-reliability products using fiber optics and a cable manufacturer. In many cases, where there are several people needing training, FOA can recommend a FOA Approved School and Certified Instructor who will come to their location to teach a class. The advantage is of course the savings in travel costs if the class comes to you, but it also offers the opportunity to customize the course to fit your needs, even use your equipment or work on your components, so the training is more relevant to those taking the class. Contact FOA to discuss the idea of a custom, on-site class to see if it will better meet your needs. Please note that all FOA approved training programs are individually run. Made it to TARMAC. Missed out on PICKLE events (no tickets available) which is frustrating and sad I desperatly wanted to hear Bruce Wilson this arvo and can only hope his presentation is available on line. I have however, discussed 3D cameras in depth and yup, this is exactly what I want to help create the online teaching component of various courses. From driver training to STMS / TTM courses to ESOL students needing to understand various intersections and road markings this camera will make a world of difference. only has a $50,000 price tag but I can rent it also. proper online training is tge way forward and this us because quite literally, we don't have trainers skilled at the qualified level they should be but you can blame people whose attitudes toward unit standard qualifications is 'don't need All that'. Sorry Wayne and co.. you do "need all that". even if instructors want to do the course I've done, without understanding and access to all the unit standards they wouldn't fulfil course requirements meaning they would fail. SIT wouldn't register them for the courses without evidence of access to things required to successfully complete the program..(yup, I had to prove I could do the NZCATT5 and had to find my own assessors) they don't like to fail students due to low quality work or critical missing components to the course (eitherway it's a QA issue). Anyway, having a ball.. quite here today bit tomorrow they say will be flat out. Will try to ensure I get in early next year because these events can only go from strength to strength.
