Stop expecting your team to care about your business as much as you do - they don’t OWN IT! As a business owner, you are deeply invested in your business - as you SHOULD BE! But expecting the same from your team? That’s unrealistic. Your team can be dedicated and hardworking - but at the end of the day, they’re people with their own lives and priorities! Instead, focus on what you can 'control': 1) Create Ownership: Empower your team to make decisions and take responsibility for their work. 2) Align Incentives: Tie their success to the business’s success through rewards and growth opportunities. 3) Lead by Example: Show your passion and vision - they’re more likely to step up when they see how much you care. Build an environment where your team feels valued. If your mindset is to treat them like you “own” them, expect them to walk away - and take their talent with them.
