As a startup community builder, I often talk about the need for a dedicated physical space where our startup communities can gather at all times of the day. While our event communities are thriving and new incubators and accelerators are gaining traction, the next step is to build density—creating a place where both spontaneous interactions and consistent engagement can flourish. It’s natural to wonder, “Who’s working on this?” But as community builders, we know that it’s up to us to take the initiative. Stay tuned as we continue to refine our ideas and make progress in this area.

Pre-product word of mouth for Kweet? Check ✅ I think it comes down to 3 things: 1️⃣ We found a critical gap in the market that no one else is addressing, AND have the skills to build a great product. 2️⃣ Nonprofit leaders are our colleagues through Petners Berlin. Been there, done it - we speak the same language. 3️⃣ Nonprofit consultants are our colleagues through NO BORDERS studio. They know the challenges and see how Kweet fits right in. Early connections matter as much as the product itself - that’s why so many successful startups fall into “I’ve built it for myself” category.

#AI is proving to be an increasingly important feature even in the biotechnologies that we and QB3 are seeing in the companies we support. It's powerful to be in the same ecosystem as Berkeley SkyDeck and their team who can hold a demo day of this quality and intensity. Note the climate tech and agtech companies in the cohort too.
Berkeley SkyDeck just concluded it's Batch 18 Demo Day yesterday. 19 CEO's from all over the world stood on stage to pitch investors on the tech or product they've been building over the past many months. The day is truly a culmination of so much hard work and incredible inspiration. If you missed out and are curious to see what these 19 companies have been working on, check out the list of startups and feel free to reach out to these founders directly: https://lnkd.in/eYp76nbf Also, thank you SkyDeck advisors and mentors for your support and contributions.
