When you're a clown in school, you have to be good at something else. 🤡 I just stumbled across this old post on Facebook saying, "When you're a clown in school, you have to be good at something else." and i'm talking about myself in this post. I knew from around the 4th grade that I didn't fit into the school system like my friends did. I was always bored, didn't follow along, and spent my time in the back of the classroom doing something other than schoolwork—mostly building websites in WordPress and exploring the internet. I knew school would be tough, and I hated every second of it because I was also working three jobs. The knowledge and skills I gained from these jobs far exceeded what I was learning in school, making it hard to see the point of attending. Twelve years later, I'm so glad I chose to go against the school system and forge my own path. I see a Danish school system that isn't improving, and our younger generation is starting to realize there are other ways to succeed in life beyond a flawed education system. The only class in high school that caught my interest was innovation and entrepreneurship. The reason? The teacher was an entrepreneur his whole life, not just another educator without real-world experience. The clown-gurus are going to hate me for this 🤡 but let me expose them: → Their online courses consist of re-packaged information. → Almost everything can be found on YouTube (I'm serious). → They contradict each other, trying to sell you “THE business model to make money online”. → They continue making money w/affiliate commissions as they push you to use certain softwares. → They prey on young, naive teens who think they’ll be able to drop out of high school and make $$$. I don’t have a problem with well-made courses, but most stuff you see online is crap. What I do like is the following trend: → Information turning into transformation. More creators are starting to sell transformation packages with their courses. These packages include community environments with access to one-on-one calls and help with applying what you learned. I turned myself into a bookworm these days 🐛 Needless to say how much I enjoy #research With DO-IT App launch just around the corner, I'm diving deep into books and studies on various soft skills and how teens learn best, while preparing the first pieces of content we'll have on the app. P.S. Yes, I confess, I'm reading some diagonally to absorb as much as possible  #JustTryingToKeepUp 🎯 Here's what matters most to me: making DO-IT #relatable and #engaging for teens - real-life examples, fun activities, and learning by doing. After all, soft skills are all about putting them into practice. How else could you learn them?
