Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Post

We partnered with Nature Conservancy of Canada/Conservation de la nature Canada to conserve 935 hectares of forests, wetlands and cliff habitat (or mesas), including a section of the stunning Nor'Wester mountain range, in #Ontario. ℹ️ What is a mesa? It’s an isolated, flat-topped landform with steep sides. This project was made possible thanks to funding from the Canada Nature Fund’s Natural Heritage Conservation Program This national program contributes to the creation of protected and conserved areas by supporting partners to secure private lands and private interests in lands. The area will be conserved to help protect habitat for #SpeciesAtRisk like the majestic Peregrine falcon. 🍃 For more information: https://ow.ly/2wJn50UihpQ 🍃 Discover the NHCP: https://ow.ly/j9XS50UihpP #ProtectNature Photo: Kaitlin Richardson
