Environmental Design Research Association’s Post

𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐀 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧!  We’ve explored Montreal and Vancouver, and now #EDRA56 in 2025 takes us to 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐚𝐱, 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐚: a perfect spot to experience springtime and engage with our theme: “𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆”. May to October offers ideal weather for exploring this vibrant city. Halifax will host exciting 𝐦𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 designed to align with the theme, including one on the 𝐂𝐨𝐠𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 https://lnkd.in/gamBAFcp. This walking tour, just minutes from the conference venue, tackles key subthemes like: • 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 • 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 Participants will learn about the history, planning, and construction goals of this project, which is reconnecting diverse communities that were cut off from each other and the downtown during highway construction in the 1960s.  Of course, #EDRA56 will bring the same opportunities to network, learn, and share knowledge that we all love. Add a new city to your #EDRA repertoire and experience Halifax with us this May 2025! Early bird registration is now open. Secure your spot today and join colleagues and friends as we gather to share knowledge. https://lnkd.in/eYBsWVaJ B Sanborn Alina Osnaga, NOMA, AIA Assoc.
