"Big boys don't cry. Stand up, be a man. Hold it in. Suck it up. We train men to be silent and then crave them to speak" - TD Jakes We train men to be silent and then wonder why they don't speak up. This cultural expectation isn't just unfair—it's dangerous. Men often internalize their struggles, leading to higher rates of mental health issues. It's time to change this narrative. We need to create spaces where men feel safe to express their emotions without fear of judgment. Emotional well-being should be a priority for everyone, regardless of gender. Let’s start a dialogue. How can we better support emotional health in our communities/workspaces? Share your thoughts below. #DEI #MentalHealth #BreakTheSilence #Inclsuion #RodVisionInMotion

#mentalhealthawareness Sometimes it's easy to see a smile and take it for face value; this is a happy person, they're doing well. What if I told you ... ... I've struggled with mental health issues since my teenage years (predominantly depression)? ... that 25 years on, I still rely on medication to make me feel more the person I want to be? ... that 25 years on, I am still my harshest critic / worst enemy? ... it took me 20 years to accept that and be more open about it... To acknowledge that yes, there may still be stigma attached to #mentalhealth conditions, but that I would rather help tackle that by sharing my story. #Inclusion is important for all sorts of reasons. Only by people sharing 'this is me' and hoping for an element of acceptance can we contribute to a culture where people feel they can be their full selves. Is there a part of your story you are willing to share? #breakthestigma #mha2024 #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #EndTheStigma #MentalHealthAwareness #YouAreNotAlone #WellBeing #MindfulLiving

However, I have found solace in mindful moments. By practicing intentional breathing and gratitude, I have witnessed the positive impact it has on my mental health. These simple yet powerful practices help me stay focused and motivated in my mission to close the racial health gap. #generationalwellness #healthequity #racialhealthgap #minorityhealth #workplacewellness #mindfulmoment #balanceperiod #genW
