Title: 3 Interior Design Courses you need to know about If you intend to enter the world of interior design and are looking for qualified training to gain your first knowledge of the area, then this article is relevant to you. Nowadays, there is an increasingly wide and diverse range of training on offer. Here are 3 options for courses on this subject, for different economic possibilities and working arrangements (face-to-face or hybrid). 1. Domestika: Here you‘ll find online options costing €60, although you can take advantage of discounts during certain periods (sometimes up to 90%). You can see the number of people who have attended and enjoyed the course, as well as the comments. This way you can check its credibility and whether it meets your expectations. See more information at https://lnkd.in/d8nNTqZB 2. Udemy: Udemy is renowned for its good training offer. The prices of the online courses available vary, and you can find some for less than €20 and others that are close to €70. Like the previous suggestion, you can also find discounts, as well as view the rating, comments and number of students who attended the course. To help you make a more informed decision, the website is organized by category, so you can see which courses are the best sellers and which have received the best scores. See more at https://lnkd.in/dyGvXRj6 3. Cascais School of Arts & Design allows you to choose between daytime and after-work courses, online or in person. The course is not limited to organizing and filling environments, but also develops the knowledge to establish strategies that bridge the aesthetic, functional, constructive, legal and ecological sides. As this is a specialized school, the prices are naturally higher compared to the previous options. More information at https://lnkd.in/dM4pxSrp

Learn How to Run an Interior Design Business from Painfully Slow to Fast I started my interior design business by accident in the ‘80s. I worked for a subsidiary of American Airlines designing commercial spaces (without training). At the same time, my friends asked me to help them design their homes, accessorize and hang pictures. After a few of my friends flew me to where they were living to help them, I knew it was time to get an interior design degree. I already had a Finance & Banking degree, and I felt like an imposter since I was working without training. Sadly, my interior design degree program offered just one class in running a business. The instructor knew I was already running my own business, and one day, she asked me how to do sales tax. Unfortunately, I realized I wasn’t going to get adequate training from her. Painfully slow – learning the hard way is painful and expensive. It’s costly to reinvent the wheel. You will wonder if there is a better way to do it. Moderately slow – reading books and experimenting. Fast – having a design degree from a school that offers business classes and working for a design firm for 3 – 5 years (assuming the designer runs a good business). Faster – attending industry events and online training, listening to podcasts in addition to #2 & #3. Fastest – getting coaching from another experienced designer and business coach plus participating in a mastermind group of like-minded peers. (And super-fast is adding in 2, 3 & 4 to supplement your training). If you’re ready to pick up the pace, be sure to get a free copy of my book– you just pay shipping. And if you’re ready for free training, be sure to check our event schedule here. How do you like to learn? Please comment below.
