##StrengtheningCommunityForestRightsinAdilabadandKBAsifabadCPFs collaborationBRLF -Strengthening the Forest Community Rights in Telengana a brief insight into the initiative in collaboration with BRLF . The process includes-- a) Village Awareness campaign-to raise awareness for Community Forest Rights (CFR) provisions claim processes, documentation, responsibilities and benefits b) Formation of Forest Rights Committee for CFR claim documentation, sustainable management of forest resources for the benefit of Forest dwelling communities, FRC responsible for filing of CFR rights claims, conducting preliminary enquiry, verifying claims and management of resources. Transact walks are done to understand the boundaries and resources by elder members and experts from community. c) Resource mapping through PRA and GPS exercises done in collaboration and participatory process to identify and map forest resources, claim documentation preparation, approval process by Gram Sabha followed by Joint verification from Officals from Govt department of Revenue, Forest department and community forest right committee . Countryside Curators Makes Strides in Remote Village Revitalization Project Funded through a HK$3 million allocation from the Government's Countryside Conservation Fund, the project aims to restore heritage buildings and facilitate community engagement in the remote northeast New Territories village. Significant achievements include the installation of an 800m pipeline to provide residents access to water for the first time. This has allowed expansion of agricultural and cultural activities in the village. A heritage building is also being redeveloped into a core community hub to encourage intergenerational exchange. Local elder Mr. Wan now passes on traditional skills from the building. Most notably, a real sense of hometown pride and vitality has been reinvigorated in Yung Shue Au. Participation in this New Years celebration doubled versus the previous year. Under the leadership of Prof. Thomas Chung, this tailored, community-driven approach ensures the sustainability of revitalization efforts. It's encouraging to witness such positive social impact and restoration of cultural traditions from a rural rehabilitation project.
