My name is Amina Mayaki a 3MTT fellow and tech enthusiast. I am among the cohort 2 fellow with the ID: FE/23/79944861 I am so excited to share my latest project on SQL using the MYSQL workbench. Structured Query Language a.k.a SQL is a language that is use to communicate with a relational database using query or syntax. A database is a data repository or storage for data where the data are stored in tables. Just like we were thought in our last class by our able tutors #Imonitie and #TsavSamson, that, SQL has four languages of which we learned two of the languages. The two languages are; The Data Definition Language (DDL) which involves: CREATE command: this command is used to create a new database or table. DROP: this command is used to drop or delete existing database or record stored in a table. ALTER: this command is used to add, modify columns of existing table. TRUNCATE: this command is used to remove rows from a table. The Data Manipulation Language (DML) which involves: SELECT: this command is used to filter out single or multiple rows from a table. INSERT: this command is used to insert a single or multiple records in a table. DELETE: this command is used to delete records from a table. UPDATE: this command is used to modify existing table. For my project, I created a university database for graduating students. The graduating database contain three tables; the student names, the subject names and the graduating students of that university. When creating my table I had an issue with my date query where I realized that, using the ‘date’ data type requires me to insert the date values as, for example; 2003-03-29 and not 29-03-2003. I also created a relationship within these tables using the primary key and the foreign key. At the end of my project, I used these tables to create an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). Thank you so much 3MTT, Ministry of Information under the Federal Government of Nigeria for giving me this opportunity to explore and add value to myself. #3MTTLearningCommunity #My3MTT #3MTTNigeria #NITDANigeria #TeamIhifix #TechWomen

In Nigeria, accessing external exam questions such as JAMB, WAEC, and NECO is challenging. These past questions are often treated like valuable commodities, with low-quality PDFs being sold at high prices. To address this issue, I am working on a project to provide free access to these past questions in PDF format. Additionally, I am developing an API using Node.js(Express) and MongoDB as the database to supply these questions to developers and teachers. This API will allow teachers to select questions based on topics, difficulty levels, and years, and to generate up to 50 questions for their exams. The process involves purchasing the past questions, typing them out, and using AI to convert some into text format. The project also includes building and deploying the API, as well as developing a front-end interface for teachers to easily print out the questions. If you have any PDFs of past questions or can assist in any way, please feel free to contact me. I will be uploading progress updates as the project develops.

My weekly reflection, week 17 1. PROBLEM OR CHALLENGE RATE OF STUDENTS FAILURE IN SCHOOLS.. 2.PROPOSE SOLUTION OUTLINE As a data scientist and a digital teacher that I am, I have always wanted to try to bring back the quality of education in Nigeria as whole by creating a separate unit in the ICT for students by developing a MODEL that can predict students future performance to solve the problem of FAILURE IN SCHOOLS... With the training I getting from 3MTT Nigeria I can use the following to achieve this goal 1. Statistical analysis : which involves i. Regression and Correlation: This is a statistical modeling technique used to predict continuous outcome. And am going to use Multiple or multivariate Linear regression ii. Python Libraries: libraries for Data analysis, visualization and predictions such as pandas, matplotlip,seaborn,numpy,LinearRegression..e.t.c iii. My IDE's python 3 and Jupyter notebook... 3. STRATEGIC ROADMAP/RESOURCES i. Sample some schools and get a desire numbers of students ii. Get students data or use Python codes to get data.. iii. Convert the data to Excel format or CSV file format iv. Get a conducive environment v. Set up team vi. Get funding support (#1000,000) including transportation fee with my team members vii. Perform analysis from previous academy performance from last 2 years..s PERSONAL BRANDING: As a data scientist and a digital teacher with the knowledge acquired,I believe I can lead this project and make it a success and a way of improving students performance in schools. #tarabaMinistryOfEducation Ministry Education I here by invite ministry of education Taraba state to look into my possible solution and see it as an innovation to restore the glory of education in the state...

3MTT Weekly Reflection My Name is Tijani Taiwo Akanni, a cohort 2 fellow from Osun state Nigeria, specializing in Data-Analytics and Vizualisation track. This week marks the eleventh week of my learning with 3MTT. I had a quick reflection and it has really be a great and transformative journey. I was able to learn the fundamental of data analytics, mastering different analytics tools like microsoft excel, powerBI, SQL, and had a little introduction to Python. The physical learning parts gave me the opportunity to engage with different colleague and this has really improve my communication. The major challenge I encountered in this journey is the unstable power supply, the national grid and our community power failure. The unstable power supply make it hard to have a proper learning schedule. Even though I am not the type that learn at night, I have to adjust myself to night learning at some point as these are the time we usually have a stable light for long hour. Among the tools that I have worked with so far, I felt more convenient working with SQL and Excel. I want to keep improving my database management skills-transforming data and working with database. #My3MTT #3MTTWeeklyReflection @3MTT Nigeria @IHSTowers @NITDANigeria
