We had a second meeting about how we can collaborate with each other, Luxembourg and Japan. The first kickoff meeting was an online meeting. I'm really happy because we could have an in-person meeting on 12th June. The exeperts of Data Space and Healthcare-related data utilization from both countries gathered together. First, we exaplained about each activities including U. Tokyo International Dataspase Technology testbed. And, there are some discussions about challenges about healthcare-related data utilization and differences between countries. The topics can be structred as two layers. First layer is about the collaboration of testbeds as a basis to accelarate use cases. Second layer is about use cases including the healthcare use case. We are trying to deeply dive into the discussion now.

And so, another conference event ends. Having attended such #datacentre events for the last 14 years it has been interesting listening to the differing trends and new technologies over the many years. Today the datacentre industry has reached a new level of maturity where the personal litmus test of the once dreaded question at the weekend BBQ “what do you do?” 😱 “I work in datacentres” to be confronted by a blank stare is replaced with todays response - “oh yes they are the things that use alot of energy”. The once invisible is now known by more than those that do not. W.Media - Global #cdcsydney event had over 1000 registrations- the exhibition hall was jammed, the convention room always had more than 60% audiences, some only had standing room only. And the presentations were mainly about the excitement of what is coming (#ai) or how to manage DCs better and still deliver growth. Just about all the presentations had an element of sustainability linked with power shortages or lack of skilled people for jobs. I have worked in a number of technology fields - 5 to be exact (including datacentres). And I was lucky enough to experience major growth in all of them and I can tell you right now the #datacentre world is in a huge growth spurt. It will not last for ever so we must enjoy while we can. No post cannot go without the customary pic of an AI generated Dalle3 image calling on its vast databank. Well done WMedia team bringing all this together. Thats pretty much all for such ANZ events this year except the regionals and a national one in New Zealand and see you all again next year. You all remember our efforts to develop a sound method for determining the economic (= monetary) value of service #ecosystems and #dataspaces (such as those put forward by #GaiaX) recently. Well, we have now complemented the theoretic model with a practical framework which enables any organization to identify and calculate the business value of their use cases within a (actually, any) ecosystem. In order to validate our internal thinking with the external world and its practical requirements and constraints -- that is, with you as potential users of the model -- I am conducting a concise in-person workshop in the course of the EuProGigant Open House Day in Vienna, October 7th, 2024. See https://lnkd.in/dx73Fujk and the "Business modelling with data cooperation" workshop for further details also how to participate, if you happen to be in Vienna at that time. We also have plans to publish this properly - right now, your fastest and best way to obtain the framework are through a Gaia-X Association for Data and Cloud (AISBL) membership :) As a matter of fact, I have already used the model to specifically and only determine the benefits of using #GaiaX for your ecosystem instead of doing it in another (e.g., point-to-point) way. That is, we did not include any other (real) benefit of sharing data or exchanging services but only focused on those parts of the benefits which were specifically mediated and brought about by using Gaia-X standards. My friends and colleagues from the #iECO Gaia-X project will certainly remember this from our Dresden meeting. For theory enthusiasts: Besides using our own genuine formulae from earlier this year, our approach is based on the so-called service-dominant logic (#SDL), transaction costs theory, and Marchand's theory on competing with information. cc: Kai Meinke Wolfgang Kniejski Felix Hoffmann Dirk Mayer Marco Di Pasquale Michael Brenner Wolfgang Mueller Gerald Ristow Viktor Berchtenbreiter Stefan Dumss Ulrich Ahle Roland Fadrany Alberto Palomo Pierre Gronlier Giuditta Del Buono Ewann Gavard Klaus Ottradovetz

🌟 Stefanie Federl represented deployEMDS at the Autonomy Mobility World Expo in Paris 🚀 Our project was part of the session "Digging into Data: Managing Multimodal Networks". During this session, organised by POLIS Network, we had a dynamic discussion exploring the pivotal role of data in navigating the complexities of multimodal networks. 🔑 Key Takeaways: 1️⃣ The European mobility data space offers promising opportunities to facilitate seamless data sharing and collaboration between the various stakeholders involved, ultimately driving forward the evolution of mobility management. 2️⃣ Some of the current challenges are lack of standardisation, lack of trust and a fragmented data landscape: deployEMDS aim is to tackle these challenges by aligning on scope and take into account the requirements of different stakeholders 3️⃣ Private-public collaboration is key to manage increasingly-complex transport networks successfully. 🙌 Hands off to the esteemed panelists for sharing their expertise and insights!
