📝 Final Article on Team Dysfunctions (Based on The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni) Dysfunction 5: Inattention to Results Another significant dysfunction is when team members prioritize their personal goals over the team’s collective objectives. ❗ A team indifferent to results... — either stagnates or declines; — rarely outperforms its competitors; — loses ambitious employees; — indirectly encourages employees to focus solely on their personal careers and goals; — easily loses direction and focus. ❗ A results-driven team... — retains ambitious employees; — minimizes individualistic behavior; — celebrates success and takes failure to heart; — benefits from members who prioritize collective goals over personal ones; — keeps the objective in clear sight. 💡 Next day, there's a lot more interesting and useful information waiting for you. Did you remember to say thank you to the unsung hero at work today? When we think about a company's success, the first image that comes to mind is the high-profile management team. However, taking a closer look at most organisations, there is a much smaller team of unsung heroes, quietly ensuring everything runs seamlessly. Despite not being in the spotlight, or demanding recognition and/or accolades, their contributions are the foundation for the success of any business. These quieter individuals are often overlooked, and their contribution either taken for granted, or underappreciated. In simplicity, they manage continuity, before it become a crisis. Let's start recognising and appreciating our everyday heroes who keep things running behind the scenes. They might not grab headlines, but they’re the actual success of our business. It takes a split second to say thank you. It can make the world of difference!

I’m sure the sentiment of having to do more with less resonates with colleagues throughout HE, so my thought for today is: When you can’t do a lot do what you can. As someone heading up a team in an organisation as complex as Universities are you sometimes can’t give positive answers to the questions you’re being asked. But what you can do is make time to review the way you and your teams are doing things to see if there are any changes you can implement to make tasks and processes a little more bearable. You can make time to listen to the team even if you don’t have the answers they are searching for. And most importantly you can always find time to say thank you. Not just to your team but making sure colleagues outside of the team who are supporting them receive thanks for what they do. Because we’re all in the same big HE boat together.

What gets you motivated? What makes you get out of bed and get shit done? These are questions we all think about, especially on those mornings when we’d rather stay under the covers. Motivation is what helps us keep going when things get tough. It’s what turns our ideas into reality. But motivation needs a purpose...it’s what gives us a reason to keep pushing forward, even when things aren’t easy. Recently, my team made a birthday video for me, where some shared how I’ve made a difference in their lives.. The video reminded me that my purpose is to inspire and support my team. It’s not just about achieving goals or hitting targets but about helping others grow and succeed. Knowing that I’ve helped make a positive impact on my team’s lives motivates me even more. Whenever I’m feeling down or stuck, I can watch this video to remind myself why I do what I do. In a busy world full of challenges, having a clear purpose keeps us grounded and motivated. So, what gets you out of bed in the morning? For me, it’s knowing I can make a difference in people’s lives, one day at a time, with the support of this amazing team that ill always be grateful for..♥️

✅ Quality demands. I have high standards for quality 🎯. You remember — it’s so the guys aren’t embarrassed to show their work. I apply these same standards to my team. It’s simply because I believe it’s a useful skill 💪. Plus, I’m responsible for what my team does. I often make them redo things if possible 🔄. But more often, I try to be present at the planning stage so that things are done right from the start ✏️📐. People get used to it, and they start liking it. Mostly because other teams have lower standards, meaning mine have a competitive edge 🏅. ✅ I help a lot. I don’t leave anyone hanging 🛠️. If a task needs to be done, it’s *we* who do it, not just one person. The whole team is responsible, and since I’m part of the team, the rule applies to me too 🤝. If something urgent needs to be done and someone’s struggling — I jump in and help 🏃♂️. If someone’s stuck and deadlines are tight, I take over and get it done myself ⏳. After we’re finished, I explain what went wrong, how it should’ve been done, and what mistakes were made 🔍. Stay tuned for more in the next article! 📚⭐️ 💡 Next day, there's a lot more interesting and useful information waiting for you. Pathetic Employees Wakefit. specially the Baner store. The store manager has no timings to ever be present at the store. absolutely NO Customer Service. Pathetic team of uneducated people who just want to make excuses. Wakefit Support the most unprofessional way of speaking to the Consumers. Delays in deliveries. NOT ready to co-operate, even when told will pay the difference for the higher ranged product and requested for callback to resolve the issue BUT no after service NO OWNERSHIP to retain Consumers. bad bad bad I wish I could tag the CEO Aniket Garg of Wakefit. Budd you need to get your team straightend up. I see you are a young entrepreneur, your succes will be short lived with these kinds of UNPROFESSIONAL Team. Wakefit own up guys... very disappointed 😔 ☹️

THE WAIT IS OVER, let's read something very useful this weekend!! 🎉 🌟 The Impact of the Ever-Thinking Mind 🌟 Living with an ever-thinking mind can have serious consequences for our well-being. When our minds are constantly active, it can lead to physical and mental exhaustion. We may struggle to concentrate, feel irritable, or even have difficulty sleeping. This relentless mental chatter can prevent us from enjoying life’s simple pleasures, like spending time with loved ones or appreciating nature. "Stillness Within: A Journey to Calm the Overactive Mind" is here to help you break free from this cycle of constant thinking. This book is not about eliminating all thoughts or striving for perfect calmness—such a goal would be unrealistic. Instead, it's about finding balance. Sometimes, You’ve Got to DIY. I’m someone who thrives in teams—collaborating, co-creating, and sharing ideas has always been where I feel most alive. Recently, a dear friend and coach shared an experience that left me with a profound insight: there are times when teamwork shines, but there are also moments when you simply have to roll up your sleeves and DIY. Anna De Boer thank you for sharing your experience🙏 This isn’t about doing it alone to prove a point. It’s about recognizing that certain parts of our journey require us to take full ownership, trust our instincts, and lean into the work ourselves. Whether it’s personal growth, tackling a challenging project, or stepping outside your comfort zone—there are moments when no one else can take that step for you. While I’ll always cherish the power of collaboration, I’m learning that some milestones are crossed only when we show up for ourselves, by ourselves. I’m in a place like this and I need to fully honour that mindset to DIY. What about you? Have you ever had a moment when you realised it was time to “DIY”? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
