◼️Distal radius fractures are among the most common fractures in the human body, accounting for approximately one-tenth of all fractures. This region is located at the wrist, and when a person falls, the instinctive reaction to brace the body with the hand often leads to significant impact on the wrist, resulting in a fracture. Typical symptoms include swelling and severe pain in the wrist, and in more severe cases, damage to finger tendons, nerves, and surrounding soft tissues. Early diagnosis and proper treatment are crucial for restoring wrist function. ◼️In the case of complex distal radius fractures, such as comminuted or intra-articular fractures, surgical intervention is often required. The Tandry 2.4mm LPS Volar Distal Radius Plates are specifically designed to address these complex fractures. These plates are made from high-quality titanium alloy, offering both high strength and lightweight properties. Additionally, they undergo Type II anodization, which enhances biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, thereby improving surgical stability and long-term durability. ◼️The design of this plate conforms to the anatomical shape of the radius bone and provides up to 24 holes for flexible fixation options, allowing for adaptation to patients of various body types. With this technology, surgeons can achieve precise bone fixation, effectively preventing postoperative displacement, and facilitating faster recovery of wrist function. ◼️The Tandry 2.4mm LPS Radius Plates not only improve the precision and outcomes of surgery but also significantly reduce patient recovery time, enabling them to return to daily activities more quickly. #Tandry #Tandrymedical #orthopaedicimplants #泰德瑞 #SurgicalImplants #互鎖性骨板 #植入性骨板 #DistalRadiusPlates

🦴 **Management of a Complex Finger Fracture** 🦴 by (SUZUKI Frame) Named after its inventor, Yasushi Suzuki, who first introduced it in 1994, the Suzuki frame has proven to be an optimal surgical treatment option, especially for complex intra-articular fractures like this one. A 27 years old male patient presented with a challenging injury—a left hand middle finger base of middle phalanx fracture, located at the volar base, caused by hyperextension injury. This type of injury often involves an avulsion of the volar plate, making it a difficult case to manage. In this instance, I utilized the **Suzuki frame**, a remarkable medical device that provides stability and promotes early joint mobilization, crucial for the healing process of proximal IP joint fractures. The Suzuki frame uses traction generated by rubber bands placed between two metal Kirschner wires inserted into the bone on either side of the fracture. This method not only stabilizes the joint but also allows for distraction at the fracture site, facilitating proper alignment and recovery. 🔍 Every case is unique, and the choice of treatment plays a crucial role in the patient's recovery journey. Proud to be part of a field where innovation meets patient care. #Orthopedic_Surgery #Trauma #HandSurgery #SuzukiFrame #HealthcareInnovation #PatientCare

T Tube Grommets Tympanostomy tube grommets from Eon Meditech normally stay in the ear drum for around couple of months in order to keep the middle ear aerated, preventing the accumulation of fluid in the middle ear and falls out naturally within 6 to 12 months on its own, as the dual flanges on these grommets are specially designed for ensuring short term use. But when the surgeon needs a ventilation tube for a longer term, say for more than a year, than Eon Meditech’s T-Tube is deployed, which remain on site for longer periods than normal grommets and are frequently used in cases where multiple grommet insertions have failed to provide adequate middle ear ventilation. Available in sterile medical grade Silicone material, Eon Meditech’s T-Tubes is a best bet for equalizing air pressure in the middle ear, allowing fresh air into the middle ear and to drain out the fluids from the middle ear for extensive period, ultimately ensuring for restored ventilation. Eon Meditech’s T-tube soft flanges open up after insertion into ear drum and are meant for longer terms positioning that can stay in place for many years, but are not permanent tubes, as they too get spontaneously ejected from the ear drum in due course of time. Offering the Surgeon all the ease to trim its shafts and flanges, as per the desired dimensions, for its easy placements, Eon Meditech’s T Tube grommets impart long term stability, curtailing premature extrusion. For every problem there is a solution and Eon Meditech has strived for years in delivering ENT solutions on both fronts, whether it’s for short term or long term applications, synchronising the same as per Surgeon's requirements, after all the name itself is engraved in the word surgEON. #ent #surgery #otology #doctor #reconstructive #surgery #orl #ohns #ear #nose #throat #hearing #implants #middleear #prosthesis #ventilation #tube #titanium #medicalgrade #silvercoated #grommet #metal #drain #shepard #collar #button #tympanostomy #ttube #myringotomy

Complicated revisions demand effective solutions. Revision surgeries are a reality in the world of spinal fusion. The problem is that once an intervention has failed, there is a significant risk of future revisions failing - 70% of 1st revisions fail, 85% of 2nd revisions fail, and 95% of 3rd revisions fail (Daniell and Osti 2018). Most importantly, with each revision the patient’s quality of life worsens. For this reason, the new implant should immediately stabilise the joint and have increased bone-to-device contact area to enhance faster fusion and reduce the risk of further complications. This is a particular challenge when the anatomy has changed in unpredictable ways. A 39-year-old man experienced this firsthand after his disc replacement failed resulting in wear debris and bone breakdown. The surgeon chose a patient specific implant to fit the expanded intervertebral space, which had a multitude of bone voids and turrets. The post operative scans show successful realignment and fusion. Patient specific implants can be used to tackle the unique challenges of revision surgeries, thereby minimising the likelihood of reoccurrence and enhancing patient outcomes. #SpineSurgery #SpineHealth #PatientSpecific
