Hack Memphis: Fall 2024 City Hackathon ❓ Are you a data, technology or design professional? Are you full of innovative ideas? Would you like to make difference in City of Memphis? Why not join the Memphis City Hackathon, organized by our friends at Innovate Memphis. Most interesting night of my life, Brickhack 10 I participated in my first ever hackathon hosted by my university i.e Rochester Institute of Technology Being new to this competition, I was curious, nervous and all the more excited to participate in it. We were asked to come up with an idea, research about it, ideate and make solutions for it. Being it a 24hr hackathon, we were constantly under pressure for making it work and compete with other great teams. Like every problem solved we, 1) Did a short literature review 2) Analyzed the market and current solutions 3) intervied users 4) ideated solutions 5) prototyped the idea 6) tested with users None the less I was supported by my amazing team and dear friends and it was only possible because of them that today we have won the brick hack 10 for the best sustainability hack What was our idea ? Vision to Victory: How We Built an Industry-Standard Solution at #BellForBetter X #BrainStation 24hrs Hackathon In the fast-paced world of tech, it's one thing to learn skills—but it's another to apply them in a way that drives real impact. Recently, at the #BellForBetter X #BrainStation Industry Project Hackathon, my team and I stood out to do just that. Our challenge? To develop a tool that fosters engagement and awareness for employees, customers, and Canadian communities across Bell’s network. Our solution went beyond expectations, impressing judges and ultimately securing us the #WinningTeam title among 9 competing teams. We didn’t just code—we researched, strategized, prototyped, designed, and developed a scalable #Frontend and #Backend product that aligns with Bell’s mission to serve its communities. This project gave me the chance to flex my #SoftwareDevelopment #UXUIDesign skills, and truly see how powerful tech can be when it’s created with purpose.
