In music composition, I find it invaluable to seek feedback from those who aren’t musicians. 🎶 Their perspective can provide insights based on casual listening rather than professional critique, which can sometimes cloud creativity. As musicians, we often overthink our process, meticulously positioning our ideas. When I present two musical concepts to a casual listener and ask for their preference, I frequently hear, ‘Why choose? Can’t you incorporate them both?’ 🤔 As musicians, we often feel pressured to choose one idea over the other. Involving non-musicians can also emphasize the ‘less is more’ philosophy. I might feel compelled to layer additional instruments, yet the feedback often reveals that the existing elements are already engaging. ✨ Have you experienced similar insights in your creative process? I’d love to hear your thoughts! 💬

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is back in cinemas for its 30th anniversary, and it's as amazing, beautiful, funny, and human as ever. This film, which won an Academy Award for its outrageous costumes, continues to captivate audiences. After seeing it on its re-release, I'm giving it a solid 5 stars. Often it is not the wrong start but the wrong stop that makes the difference between success and failure. In the 1970s, a struggling actor named Sylvester Stallone was offered $360,000 for the script of a movie he had written. 🤑 He was broke and living in a tiny apartment with his wife and newborn baby. The offer seemed like a lifeline, but Stallone had a condition: he wanted to play the lead role in the film. The producers were interested in the script but not in Stallone. Stallone had a choice to make. He could take the money and let go of his dream of becoming an actor, or he could stick to his belief in his own talent and turn down the offer. Stallone chose the latter. He believed in himself and his script so much that he sold his dog, Butkus, to make ends meet. He struggled through those tough times, believing that he was meant to play the role of Rocky Balboa. Eventually, the producers came back with a much lower offer, and Stallone agreed, taking a significant pay cut. The film, "Rocky," became a massive success, winning three Oscars, including Best Picture, and catapulting Sylvester Stallone to stardom. He became one of the most iconic actors in Hollywood history. 🤩 Stallone's story teaches us that sometimes, it's not the wrong start that holds us back; it's the wrong stop, the moment when we give up on our dreams or settle for less than what we believe we're capable of. ♥️ #WaleuskaLazo, Author of The Best Worst Thing That Happened To Me, The Gratitude Blueprint & A Pocket Full of Resilience #NeverGiveUp #BelieveInYourself #DreamBig #PersistencePaysOff #RockyBalboa #SylvesterStallone #OvercomingObstacles #SuccessStory #FollowYourDreams #Determination #Inspiration #KeepGoing #Resilience #DreamChaser #AgainstAllOdds #TrueStory #UnwaveringBelief #TheRockyStory
