I love the use of color in event design to invoke a feeling or an emotion that is remembered long after a message has subsided. Color can influence a person’s mood, perception, and behavior due to psychological and cultural associations. Here's a brief overview: Red: Often associated with energy, passion, and excitement. It can increase heart rate and appetite and evoke strong emotions. Orange: Combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It's associated with enthusiasm, creativity, and warmth. Yellow: Represents happiness, optimism, and warmth. It can stimulate mental activity and increase energy levels. Green: Symbolizes nature, growth, and harmony. It has a calming effect and is often associated with balance and renewal. Blue: Evokes feelings of calmness, serenity, and trust. It can reduce stress and promote relaxation. Indigo: Often associated with intuition, spirituality, and deep contemplation. It can stimulate the imagination and enhance perception. Violet: Represents luxury, creativity, and spirituality. Ever wondered why screen colour palettes are RGB (Red Green and Blue) whilst printing palletes are CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black)? Well the first palette is beaming the desired colours right at your eyes whereas the second one the pigments are effectively complicated "shadows" - blocking all of the undesired colours from white light to reflect only the desired one back to your vision. This simple experiment shows the weird ways different light wavelengths interact to begin to explain why we might need both an RGB and a CMYK pallette.
