"Buy low and sell high" Easier said than done. Emotion gets in the way. Logic goes out the window. What this really means is do the opposite of most everyone else. Buy when everything is trending downward. Not just in the macro, but for the asset specifically. Sell when the trends are consistently improving. Again, asset specific. Most people believe that "value" is made on the sale. It's not.. It is made on the buy, based on the leverage of the money in the investment.
