It's time for us to increase economic collaboration between Malaysia and Vietnam. Several promising areas for future collaboration include renewable energy where Malaysian firms could join the equipment supply chain, services and investments. Our two countries could also work together in the halal industry and food security, with Vietnam's rapidly increasing middle class providing an opportunity for Malaysia’s food and beverage as well as beauty and personal care producers to access the new market. In the meantime, Malaysia could provide the platform for Vietnamese companies to tap into the global halal market, which is a high growth industry targeted to be worth more than US$5 trillion by 2030. #TZA #MITI #ThisIsWhereGlobalStarts #Trade #Investment #Industry #Malaysia #Vietnam https://lnkd.in/gMrvJ7jp

KUALA LUMPUR: As Malaysia targets to improve the share of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country’s export market, it would be crucial for these companies to toe the environmental, social and governance (ESG) line. That is the view of Abu Bakar Yusof, deputy chief executive at the Malaysia External Trade Development Corp (Matrade), who revealed that the government intends to increase the share of SMEs in the export market to 15% next year, and to 30% in 2030. Source : https://lnkd.in/gYreRj72 In line with this, CDC International Sdn Bhd (CDCi) and PANTAS have entered into a strategic partnership to enhance Malaysia's sustainability landscape. This collaboration will provide comprehensive solutions, including carbon management, ESG metrics monitoring, and procurement strategies. Leveraging advanced technologies like AI-driven solutions and cloud-based systems, CDCi aims to offer intelligent, secure, and scalable solutions to its clients. Together, these initiatives reflect a national drive towards sustainable trade practices and a robust ESG compliance framework, fostering a greener economy and a stronger presence of Malaysian MSMEs in the global market. #ESGCompliance #GreenEconomy #SMESustainability
