Yesterday, I had a wonderful opportunity to listen and learn from some brilliant and experienced leaders in the beverage industry at the 2024 Beer Marketer's Insights Seminar in New York. I wanted to share a few notes I took from Jim Sabia of Constellation Brands. 1. Developing brands starts with investing the time to build a solid foundation. This is a long game strategy that requires discipline and commitment. 2. Truly listening to the consumer combined with a savvy approach to relevant market expansion and disciplined resource allocation are crucial factors for success. 3. Business leaders must focus on the health and consistency at the "core" of the business. If the core is unhealthy the rest will fail.
